Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Custodial Summer Worker
 
The Custodial Summer Worker assists the building Custodians by cleaning and maintaining school grounds.
                    
Position	Custodial Summer Worker (multiple positions)
Location	All Locations, including District Maintenance
Rate of Pay	$15.00 per hour
Hours Per Day	8
Schedule (Approximately)	Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; June, July and August
Working Days per Year	Summer Months
Benefits	Benefits for this position are limited due to the limited and variable nature of the role.  Paid Time Off   Sick Leave/Earned Safe & Sick Time - Earn 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
Bargaining Unit	Not Applicable
Qualifications Required	Must be 16 years old by June 1, 2025 Must have a valid MN Driver's License in order to operate machinery; not all positions require operating machinery Must be able to pass a background check
Testing Required	All job offers from Willmar Public Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check.

Special Education Secretary (1.75 hours per day)

The job of Special Education Secretary is done for the purpose/s of providing secretarial support to assigned administrative personnel; coordinating and monitoring special education records, activities and reporting; and providing information as may be requested by assigned administrator.

 Performs “core” clerical functions that are characteristic and/or could be shared by any position within the classification series.

Examples of “core duties performed in this classification series are illustrated below.
a) Screens visitors/students/public coming into the office providing assistance with routine questions or directing visitors to appropriate parties. Responds to a variety of program-specific and district-general inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication among parties and/or direction.
b) Answers building/department phone(s)/lines and routing calls to the appropriate department(s)/person(s) after determining the nature of the call.
c) Enters student data into District computer files/records (examples might include service hours, class/student lists, vendor lists, etc.)
d) Copies and duplicates materials requested.
e) Assists other clerical/secretarial staff by providing them support in accomplishing their job duties in times of peak demand or to meet work priorities.
f) Sorts and distributes interoffice mail.

Performs clerical and record keeping functions that involve significant detail, attention to accuracy and precision in performing the tasks in the prescribed manner required.
a) Maintains enrollment data, guidance records and student files including special education information. Requests and transfers student transcripts, test scores, health records and cum folder information for incoming and outgoing students.
b) Enters and maintains registration information.
c) Supports in special education projects including coordinating and managing events as requested.
d) Maintain and compute the following: student counts for funding, data entry, student records.
e) schedule bus monitors and arrange bus monitor substitutes as needed

 Maintains and shares level of professional expertise
a) Attends training sessions, district in-services or staff meetings, including meetings/trainings on special education processes and procedures.
b) Assists in special projects, as appropriate.
c) Learns and is cross trained in other administrative and support functions within the department/program/building.

Performs other related duties within the scope of the Secretary position as assigned or requested to contribute to the efficient operation of Willmar Public Schools.
