Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Special Education Paraprofessional. 
 
The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting students with unique needs by providing assistance in areas such as academic growth, behavior management, mobility, self-care, communication, and social development. This position ensures students can fully engage and thrive in the classroom environment.

Location	Focus House
Rate of Pay	$17.00 per hour
Hours Per Day	7
Schedule (Approximately)	8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Working Days per Year	173 (follows the school calendar)

Qualifications Required	Highly Qualified Status (Two year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam (offered upon hire within the district)) Basic child development educational background or knowledge preferred Willingness to work with and show respect for students with special needs. Ability to work independently. Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to follow the teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Testing Required	All job offers from Willmar Public Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check.
