Relevant knowledge and experience in serving an educational organization in an instructional capacity.

Consistent record of facilitating, supporting and promoting educational, social, and professional equality and ethical decision-making.
Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders within the organization in both verbal and written form.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Essential Duties
Present lesson plans and subject matter that fulfill requirements of the teacher of record’s curriculum program and in a manner that students understand.
Teach the lesson as prepared by the teacher of record.
Establish and maintain efficient classroom management procedures and standards of student behavior.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students.
Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level, interest, and needs of students.
Maintain established routines/schedules and procedures of the school and classroom to which the substitute is assigned.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written), ability to actively monitor students to ensure they are on task.
Flexibility to change assignments, classrooms, and assist with other duties throughout the school if needed.
Ability to make rational and quick decisions
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or principal.
