Duties/Responsibilities:             
 
The Board of Education seeks an Assistant Girls' Lacrosse Coach to coach individual participants in the sport skills necessary for achievement.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, selecting the squad for the team; planning and scheduling a regular program of practice; attending league, district and school staff meetings, sports awards programs and banquets; overseeing the safety conditions of practice, game and locker room areas; completing required paperwork; explaining and enforcing eligibility rules, training rules and regulations; and assuming responsibility for uniforms and equipment.  A full description of duties is available in the Personnel Office.
 
Job Time:  As required by Athletic Director
               
Requirements: Valid CT Coaching permit, Current CPR and First Aid certifications, Concussion Mod 15

Scope:
 
Under the direct supervision of the Building Administrator, Director of Facilities and/or designee performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, staff, visitors and others as necessary.
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Maintain positive interaction with teachers, crew, town employees and students;
• Clean/vacuum/wash/strip/polish/wax floors, walls, windows, ceilings, and furniture.
• Minor checks of building systems;
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of building during daily route assigned to crew including but not limited to bathroom facilities, stairwells, hallways, classrooms, etc.
• Clear and remove trash, as required.
• Fill-in for Head Custodian throughout the district, as required.
• Perform all duties as assigned by the Building Administrator(s), Facilities Manager and/or designee.
 
Skill Requirements:
 
• Ability to identify, prioritize and complete multiple projects on-time and within required deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all organization levels.
• Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision (self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented).
• Ability to work well with colleagues maintaining a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of boilers, fire alarms, maintenance equipment i.e. auto scrubber, ride-on machines, burnisher etc.
• Mechanical skills required i.e. temporary minor repairs for broken soap dispenser, towel dispenser, loose door knob, hang pictures, etc.
• Ability to use equipment i.e. scrubbers, host machine, swing machines burnisher, ride on machine, kai vac, and other various machinery
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for equipment i.e. scrubbers, host machine, swing machines, burnisher, and other various machinery.
• Willingness to learn the maintenance and operation of current and new equipment.
 
Qualification Requirements:
 
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years custodial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in working environment requiring minimal direction.
• Good attendance history.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Compensation:
• The salary and hours for this position are determined in accordance with the provisions of the Stratford Public Schools Custodian Association contract.
• Work day is eight (8) hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Hours for this position:  2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with 30 minute unpaid lunch; Summer hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with paid lunch
• Full time, full-year with benefits

Secretary for Attendance, Guidance & Department Heads (High School)
 
Supervisor:              Building Administration
 
Purpose:                  Supports and complements the goals and vision of the Board of Education through the promotion of excellent secretarial and administrative service.
 

Scope:
 
The Secretary will have responsibilities encompassing Department Head, Guidance, and Attendance support and other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.  The incumbent will be responsible for providing exceptional secretarial support as well as organizing, coordinating, and maintaining records and data as defined by the Supervisor(s).
 
Responsibilities:
• Effectively handles incoming telephone calls and voicemail including, but not limited to, screening, responding to, and directing calls in a timely manner
• Provides secretarial support including typing various correspondence and other communications related to the position, as required
• Maintains effective office operations
• Performs various copying duties as requested by Department Heads, Guidance, or Administration
• Works on special clerical projects e.g. transition planning booklet, underclassman awards, etc., as required
• Performs word processing, faxing, proofreading, photocopying, filing, and records management
• Prepares PPT/IEP notices and announcements and all aspects of mailing out notices, as required
• Assists counselors with Naviance input, as required
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) / administrator(s)
Attendance:
 
• All aspects of attendance including running attendance reports and receiving tardy students, maintaining attendance voicemail and placing follow-up calls
• Runs teacher period-by-period report and enters substitute period attendance
• Track suspensions/detentions/homebound/field trips and notify all involved
• Field trip notices
• Announcements - during and after school using School Messenger
• Participate in weekly BARC meeting with Attendance Committee
Department Head Responsibilities:
• Identifies, executes and manages deadlines, action items, and related schedules which ensure timely processing of required actions per Department Heads
• Assists Department Heads in coordinating events and projects
• Performs ordering and receiving of supplies via purchase order management system and maintains inventory of supplies as related to position
 Skill Requirements:
