Starting Date: On-call basis
Salary: $17.20/hour
Position Purpose:
This position works under the direction of a licensed teacher in a manner consistent with the requirements of state and federal law and local district policy and procedures on an on-call basis.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required
2. Must like to work with children
3. Ability to handle unpleasant or unexpected situations
4. Valid Oregon driver's license, automobile, and hold appropriate insurance
5. Must be able to pass Criminal History Record verification
Reports To: Teacher, Specialist
Major Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
1. Carries out instructional and behavioral programs as directed by teacher.
2. Assists in instruction of hygiene and toileting skills.
3. Provides personal care of students with severe physical disabilities.
4. Assists in lifting students who are physically disabled.
5. Stimulates language through receptive and expressive language programs, total communication, and augmented communication.
6. Carries out teacher's plans for instruction during individual and small group activities.

A fingerprint-based criminal history investigation will be required.
