**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Human Development or a related field.
- Experience in cooking and/or culinary arts, demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong understanding of nutrition, meal planning, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Creativity in developing engaging lesson plans and hands-on demonstrations for diverse student learners.
- Openness to alternative teacher certification pathways (New Hampshire teacher certification not required).
- Genuine dedication to inspiring students to acquire life skills through culinary education.
**Responsibilities:**
- Instruct a range of courses within the Family and Consumer Science curriculum, including Introduction to Cooking, Gourmet Desserts, Food and Nutrition, International Foods, and Life Skills.
- Craft and implement captivating lesson plans, integrating interactive culinary experiences, group projects, and discussions.
- Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and creativity.
- Provide mentorship to students, guiding them in practical cooking techniques, nutritional understanding, and crucial life skills.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and hands-on assessments.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the FACS curriculum with real-world applications.
- Contribute to school and district events, meetings, and professional development initiatives.
- Partner closely with the CTE Director to ensure the success and growth of the FACS program.
