SRTC is seeking a passionate, innovative educator to lead our dynamic Information Technology & Networking program. This rewarding full-time position begins August 26, 2025, spanning 178 days through June 2026. In this comprehensive two-year program, you'll guide high school students to develop essential technical expertise while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in computer systems, networking, and programming. From mastering hardware configurations to designing secure networks, your students will develop the critical skills needed to excel in the rapidly evolving technology industry.
Engineer Tomorrow's Tech Talent:
As an IT & Networking instructor, you'll lead a program that prepares students for both college pathways and industry certification in our cutting-edge computer labs. You'll create immersive learning experiences, introducing students to industry-standard tools and practices while building their technical problem-solving abilities. First-year students will establish strong foundations in computer hardware, operating systems, and programming fundamentals. Second-year students will advance their skills through network design, cybersecurity concepts, and professional certification preparation.
You'll foster an engaging, dynamic learning environment that challenges students' technical creativity while expertly delivering curriculum that prepares them for successful careers or continued education in the expanding IT field. Your passion for working with young people, combined with your technology expertise, will position students for exceptional opportunities in this high-demand industry. You'll collaborate with other innovative SRTC programs to create interdisciplinary technology solutions while establishing valuable industry partnerships that provide students with real-world job shadowing and hands-on experiences that build their professional portfolios.

Qualifications:
- Maine certification (#823) or eligible and CHRC (fingerprinting) or eligible
- Proven education and industry experience in Information Technology, Networking, and Computer Science
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to equip students with career-advancing technical skills and knowledge
- Energetic, positive demeanor with outstanding communication abilities
- Talent for building meaningful professional relationships with students, staff, and industry partners
- Collaborative team player committed to student success
