10.  Support MTSS team in using data to make instructional decisions regarding interventions for students. 

11. Serves as a resource to identify instructional strategies and maximize resources to support tiered instrution. 
 
12. Attends professional learning and district meetings and trainings. 
 
13. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with the District MTSS Coordinator.

• Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas neat and clean at all times.
• Regulates heat, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.
• Shovels, plows and/or sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as appropriate.
• Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of the building occupancy.
• Raises the United States flag at or before 8:00 A.M. on each school day, and lowers it at or after 3:00 P.M.
• Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture.
• Cleans corridors after each school day, and during the day when their condition requires it.
• Scrubs, hoses down and disinfects toilet floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
• Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year, and more frequently if necessary.
• Keeps the grounds free from rubbish.
• Performs such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.
• Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
• Cleans all chalkboards at least once a week. 
• Makes such minor building repairs as he is capable of.
• Reports major repairs needed promptly to the principal.
• Reports immediately to the principal any damage to school property.
• Remains on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and his attendance required by the principal.
• Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
• Keeps an inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel on hand, and requisitions such needed replacements from the principal far enough in advance so that they may be delivered in such time as will not hinder the custodian in his duties.
• Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep, and repair.
• Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal.
• Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
• Conducts periodic inspections of all electrical installations in the school to ensure their safe condition.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the principal. 


Qualifications:

Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally and be able to exert 100 pounds of force when necessary, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Demonstrated experience in the knowledge and teaching of the content area.

Job Summary: The responsibility of all auxiliary personnel is to assist and work under the supervision of the professional staff for the purpose of facilitating maximum positive impact on the education of children. Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, assist teacher with comprehensive educational and functional training to students with disabilities.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists teacher in maintaining an effective learning environment.
2. Follows teacher’s directions to maintain a clean and orderly learning environment.
3. Effectively monitors behavior according to behavior modification and intervention plans.
4. Maintains awareness of students’ whereabouts and assignments.
5. Provides the appropriate level of supervision of students during recreational periods, bus duty, field trips, and other assigned periods.
6. Continuously monitors the health and safety of students and becomes familiar with behaviors and disabilities. 
7. Assists in direct academic, supportive, and functional instruction to students as directed by the assigned teacher.
8. Makes or modifies instructional materials under the supervision of the assigned teacher within the established timeframes.
9. Operates copier and other equipment as needed to produce program related materials.
10. Provides appropriate physical care of assigned students to maintain their cleanliness, safety, and comfort by providing appropriate instruction and direct assistance with toileting, dressing, and feeding (with utensils or tube feeding).
11. Assists with documentation and organization of materials as directed by the assigned teacher.
12. Consistently complies with departmental regulations on confidentiality.
13. Refer parents to the assigned teacher when there are questions or concerns.
14. Display appropriate interpersonal skills with teacher, staff, and students.
15. Notify school and teacher when absent as soon as possible.
16. Reports to assigned classrooms and duty stations according to school schedule.
17. Dress professionally for the job.
18. Attend professional learning classes as required by the school or district.
19. Performs and other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications: The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the job at a fully acceptable level.
 
Education, Experience, and/or Certification:
• Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission Clearance Certificate and Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Summary Description of Classification: Employees in this class are responsible for the care and safety of students with disciplinary issues transported to and from their homes and schools. Nature of work involves managing student behavior to provide the driver freedom to operate the school bus safely by creating a positive and safe transportation environment. Bus attendants must exercise constant alertness to children’s behavioral problems and to react promptly in the events of disciplinary outbreak or other problems. Employee in this class must also be knowledgeable of all students assigned to the bus. Work is performed under the direction of a Transportation Supervisor, or designated assistant, teachers, administrators and bus operators.

Minimum Qualification Standards
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:. Considerable patience and ability to assist with the well being of students and maintain the bus in an orderly manner. Able to keep confidential student information. Ability to take control and enforce bus rules and regulations. Ability to assume responsibility to learn bus evacuation procedures. Physical and emotional stamina to meet job requirements. Good human relations and communication skills. Strong ethics involving safety. Ability to learn new methods and apply them in daily routine. Operating knowledge of hand brake, air brake and chock and general knowledge of bus fueling. Must possess strong ethics involving safety. Ability to learn new methods and apply them in daily routine.

• Assist a substitute bus operator with directions.
• Performs bus attendant pre-trip inspection of special equipment.

Essential Duties & Resposibilities:
1. Operates a school bus, to include loading and unloading, in a safe and timely manner in order to transport students in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations.

2. Certificate or License Required: Valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B with a Passenger and School Bus endorsement is Minimum of three (3) verifiable and consecutive years as a motor vehicle operator. Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
3. Language Skills: Must have ability to read and comprehend job specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and position specific manuals.  Must have ability to write correspondence and reports. Must have ability to effectively articulate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
 
Professional Requirements:  Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.
