7. Becomes familiar with the administration and interpretation of in-depth diagnostic measures or additional assessments commonly used in the school.
 
8. Promotes collaborative team processes. 
  
9. Coordinates and leads MTSS related professional learning for school staff. 
 
10.  Support MTSS team in using data to make instructional decisions regarding interventions for students. 

11. Serves as a resource to identify instructional strategies and maximize resources to support tiered instrution. 
 
12. Attends professional learning and district meetings and trainings. 
 
13. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with the District MTSS Coordinator.

POSITION SUMMARY:To help reduce or eliminate speech impediments that interfere with the individual student's ability to derive full benefits from the district's educational program.

1. Services as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balances program for oral communication and speech involvement.

2.  Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech impaired children.

3.  Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.

4. Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments

5. Provides screening to identify speech-impaired children at regular intervals and at specified levels

6. Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community as appropriate.

7. Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students' needs and correct existing speech or language impairments.

8. Provides in-service and education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school staff members on topics concerning speech improvement.

9. Keeps thorough, on-going records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services.

10. Maintains lists of referred, screened, and eligible students.

11. Compiles case history data on those cases where additional family history, health history, early developmental history, and environmental history are deemed appropriate.

12. Assumes primary responsibility for requisitioning and maintaining needed equipment and supplies.

13. Assumes responsibility for compiling, maintaining, and filing all required reports and records at the school and central office.

14. Utilizes behavior management techniques that are appropriate to individual student's disability.
