  Position:               Counselor or Social Worker – Elementary (Parkside Elementary)
Duties:                
Help students resolve such personal problems as may interfere with their adjustment at school, their capacity to enjoy the fullest benefits of the education offered them, and their ability to achieve their full potential academically, emotionally, physically, and socially

Qualifications:     M.A. or M.S. Degree
                             Qualified for a Standard Certificate with endorsement of counselor or social worker as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board
                             Possess knowledge of physiological, psychological, emotional, and educational behavioral development of children
                             Possess developmentally appropriate management skills which include discipline as well as record keeping and assessment abilities
                             Possess technological and assessment abilities
                             Possess problem solving, imagination, patience, reasoning, creativity, judgment, and analytical abilities
                             Self-directed, self-motivated, and goal-oriented highly desirable
                             Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, settings, teaching staff, and administrators

Salary:                        District Salary Schedule (2024-2025 Base = $53,000.00)

Employment Term:     Full-time – 185-day contract

Beginning Date:          2025-2026 reporting date for new staff – August 14, 2025 (with training before this date)

Closing Date:              April 22, 2025 or until filled
