Position is responsible for instructing elementary school students in reading through groups or targeted support to enable them to meet challenging State academic standards. Position supports the regular education curriculum and works collaboratively with other personnel to expand student development of appropriate skills, knowledge, and interests in reading. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Instructs students through reading groups in accordance to division expectations. 2. Completes all requirements as a school division Title I, Part A teacher (if applicable). 3. Develops and delivers lesson plans appropriate to the needs and abilities of assigned students. 4. Meets the needs of identified students through a variety of co-teaching models and small group instruction. 5. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and reading materials appropriate for the age and skill level of students. 6. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and creates a safe, orderly and effective environment for learning. 7. Participates in conferences as requested to report student progress. 8. Assists with the screening and evaluation of students in reading. 9. Collaborates with others to identify instructional needs and develop and deliver professional development. 10. Participates in pre-child study and child study process. 11. Participates in diagnostic instructional (DI) conferences. 12. Maintains thorough records for assigned student. 13. Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities. 14. All other duties as assigned by administrator.

This role integrates technology into instructional practices, builds teacher capacity, and promotes data-driven decisions to improve student achievement. The coach fosters collaboration and models best practices to ensure high-quality instruction, leveraging technology to meet the diverse needs of all learners. The coach is responsible for ensuring highquality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching and providing feedback to teachers.
