JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position performs in a safe and efficient manner master mechanic level maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and/or installation/replacement of major and minor component parts of all motorized (diesel and gasoline) vehicles and equipment assigned to the Division of Public Works to insure the equipment under his or her care is maintained in a high state of readiness and is safe to operate. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 5, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $34.46.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 3 years work related experience
• High School diploma plus 1 year schooling in Automotive/Equipment repair; experience in lieu of education will be considered
• Must obtain CDL-B License and State Inspection License within 12 months of hire
• ASE certification a plus
• Must provide own hand tools

Under the direct supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Foreman, this position performs routine mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair and/or installation/replacement of minor component parts of all motorized vehicles and equipment; checks all fluid levels in vehicles, performs lube, oil and filter changes, performs engine tune ups, and maintains accurate records for the same; conducts safety inspections and conducts road and equipment tests; steam cleans and paints vehicles and equipment; other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 4, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $31.55.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or certified equivalent; experience in lieu of education will be considered
• Minimum of one year relevant work experience
• Must be certified to perform State of NH Vehicle Safety Inspections
• ASE certifications or related equivalent a plus
• Candidate must provide his/her own hand tools

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess CDL-B License with Tank Endorsement
• Proficient in the use of personal computers and software necessary to complete the requirements of this position

This position is responsible for all duties and assignments related to the daily operations of a 16 MGD wastewater treatment facility, including sample collection, equipment operation, grit removal, chemical preparation, process review, maintenance of buildings, machinery and grounds, odor control system operation, SCADA review and operation, sludge dewatering and conditioning, tank cleaning, assistance to maintenance personnel, chemical feed adjustments, secondary by-pass operation, anaerobic digester operation, calibration of process equipment, process control, etc.; other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 5, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $32.23, plus $0.30 shift differential.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience
• Must possess a Grade II NH Operator Certificate
• High school diploma or certified equivalent, plus 1 year additional schooling in Wastewater Process
