JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for general building custodial duties in various City buildings.  Duties include cleaning of restrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning, polishing, dusting and routine painting.  Position also performs building and safety checks, grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned.  This is a full-time day shift position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, is part of the UAW Clerical/Technical Bargaining Unit and provides an excellent work life balance.  The position is grade 4, with an hourly rate not to exceed $20.73.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or certified equivalent
• Minimum of six months relevant work experience in general cleaning and maintenance
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the various cleaning preparations and floor maintenance techniques
• Must possess a valid operator license and an acceptable driver’s record

This position is responsible for cleaning and routine maintenance of the building and grounds (repair, safety, sanitation, and appearance) to include the Department’s sub-stations, and delivery/pickup service. Perform other maintenance duties as required, including maintaining accreditation standards pertaining to the holding facility. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position is part of the Teamsters Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 3, with an hourly rate not to exceed $21.4772/hour.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED with minimum one year experience in basic painting and grounds maintenance
• Must possess a valid operator’s license and a good driving record
• Must successfully complete a basic physical examination
• Pass a background investigation and criminal history check
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the maintenance systems in order to provide basic maintenance
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of various cleaning preparations, pesticides, and their uses and proper applications to prevent possible exposure hazards
• Must be of good moral character

The individual will also perform a variety of manual tasks, as a laborer, in connection with operations and assists in loading and unloading material and equipment transported by truck and operates small machinery. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 3, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $26.90.

SKILLS/QUALFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or certified equivalent with a minimum of six months relevant work experience is required
• Must possess valid CDL-B driver’s license with good driving record
• Must have good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
