JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for general building custodial duties in various City buildings.  Duties include cleaning of restrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning, polishing, dusting and routine painting.  Position also performs building and safety checks, grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned.  This is a full-time day shift position (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, is part of the UAW Clerical/Technical Bargaining Unit and provides an excellent work life balance.  The position is grade 4, with an hourly rate not to exceed $20.73.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or certified equivalent
• Minimum of six months relevant work experience in general cleaning and maintenance
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the various cleaning preparations and floor maintenance techniques
• Must possess a valid operator license and an acceptable driver’s record
