Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
- Experience working with transition age special education students (Preferred)
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss and consider team opinions
- Valid IL Occupational Therapy license through Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Job Summary:
To evaluate disorders and delays that affect students' ability to perform daily activities and reach their educational goals and provide OT services.
Job Location: Mundelein High School and D120 Transition Center
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group OT sessions.
- Complete and maintain professional documentation with regards to student files, student session, attendance, session notes, quarterly reports and student progress.
- Submit quarterly progress reports and update benchmarks related to IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed. Participate as a team member developing appropriate IEP goals based on formal and informal assessment.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret evaluations and test results, and complete and maintain IEP goals.
- Work collaboratively with IEP team members in administering appropriate therapies to increase student success in learning.
- Complete and submit all required federal and state forms.
