Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor's Degree or higher (Bilingual certification preferred at beginning literacy level)
• Ability to work cooperatively with members of the staff in planning objectives, instructions and methods

Performance Responsibilities:
• Meet and instruct adult students at given locations and times
• Develop and maintain a classroom environment commensurate with norms pf the program and appropriate to the classroom activity 
• Prepare and provide an effective program of instruction based on needs and capabilities of individual students
• Set attainable personal and employment goals for students
• Guide students toward employment goals for students 
• Guide students toward employment and familiarize them with community service organizations
• Contact students who miss two consecutive days of class
• Show evidence lesson preparation and implementation upon request of the director
• Have materials in classrooms available for substitutes in case of emergencies 
• Maintain records as required by grant, district policy and administrative regulations
• Complete 12 hours appropriate and approved professional development per fiscal year
• Report to the Adult Education Director 

Schedule:
• 2 days per week / 3 hours per day -- time TBA
• TBD -- Dates to be adjusted as necessary

Salary:
• $40.00 per hour / 6 hours per week
