TITLE: Special Education Secretary/Compliance Specialist
Position is full time; 8 hours per day; 210 days per year
QUALIFICATION:
High school diploma required; college experience preferred; General clerical skills such as typing, Excel experience, filing, computer literacy, and knowledge of basic office machines necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to be a team player is required. Must be able to follow instructions quickly and accurately as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Special Education Director PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to the Special Education Director and office staff, generate reports and work with data that requires confidentiality.
Be proficient at record keeping, filing and telephone communication. Create an efficient and inviting environment.
Responsible for Medicaid reimbursement process.
PCG-Medicaid- staff pool list and submission of calendar.
Maintain time clock-leave and weekly timesheets.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Process purchase orders and maintain accurate paper trail on all transactions for auditing purposes and accurate/current account balances on each fund.
GO-IEP support for Student services.
Submit RESA referrals for OT, PT, Vision, & Audiology to shared services
Complete due process checklist for Special education paperwork.
Maintain and create Special education files.
Upload documents as needed into GO-IEP.
Handle all record requests that are received in the Special Education office and keep updated documentation of sent records.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/supervisors.
