Position Information
 
The Lampeter-Strasburg School District is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Reading Specialist to join the Hans Herr Elementary School team. This is a permanent, full-time position available August, 2025. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certification and demonstrate a strong understanding of Structured Literacy. Candidates should have experience with reading intervention programs and be proficient in administering and interpreting reading assessment systems. Knowledge of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework is preferred. Responsibilities include providing targeted reading interventions, supporting classroom teachers with effective literacy instruction, using data to inform instruction and monitor student progress, participating in data team meetings, and collaborating with staff and families to support student growth.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Valid PA Certification
3. Current PA Criminal History background check
4. Current FBI Criminal background check
5. Current Child Abuse background check
6. Proof of TB test, results must be within the past year
