Position Information
 
The Lampeter-Strasburg School District is seeking an assistant kitchen manager at Martin Meylin Middle School. This is an anticipated permanent, full-time position available April, 2025. Position hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. approximately 184 days per school year with a half hour lunch break. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year food experience and be Serve Safe certified or be able to pass examination. Position requires overseeing food production and sanitation of kitchen, and ability to support kitchen manager in all aspects of the kitchen production and service. Interested candidates must be a team player, friendly and courteous to students and staff, have computer knowledge, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Candidates must also have excellent attendance, including light travel to meetings and trade shows, and willingness to work an occasional evening or Saturday for events and banquets.

Required Qualifications Upon Offer of Employment:
1. Current PA Criminal History background check
2. Current FBI Criminal background check
3. Current Child Abuse background check
4. Proof of TB test, results must be within the past year
