The Jordan assistive technology team evaluates students to determine assistive technology needs, provides education and training to students and the team members that support them, and manages the JSD assistive technology lending library and equipment upkeep.
Support staff assisting the UATT team will assist in the following tasks:
• Updating UATT Inventory Database
• Checking equipment in and out of the UATT Equipment inventory database
• Correspondence with IEP team members (teachers, special education teachers, SLPs, and other related service providers) regarding equipment maintenance
• Backing up augmentative and alternative communication app vocabulary files
• Maintaining and updating UATT caseload records
• Maintaining and updating UATT equipment
• Maintaining, updating, and tracking home use agreements
• Adding new equipment to the UATT Inventory Database
• Working with IT to set up new UATT equipment on JSD networks
• Delivering equipment to school teams, and picking up equipment from school teams and the Utah Center for Assistive Technology

Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.  Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.

Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion. 
Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.
