PURPOSE:
To deliver Speech therapy services as mandated on student IEP’s in accordance with Minnesota's State Board of Education requirements to Greenway Students District wide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop in collaboration with team members, appropriate IEP goals based on formal and informal assessment results.
- Develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) stating the annual and short term goals for each child’s current level of functioning, and objectives to meet each child’s needs
- Participate in IEP meetings as required throughout the school year.
- Submit quarterly progress reports to lead teacher/team in a timely manner for distribution to parents/guardians.
- Update quarterly benchmarks related to IEP goals at designated times.
- Maintain all records and implement all procedures in accordance with Minnesota and Federal Rules and Regulations.
- Sets up and operates clinical equipment (e.g., assistive listening devices, augmentative and alternative communication devices, computers).
- Serve as a communication consultant and resource person to classroom teachers, school personnel and parents/guardians. These services may take the form of conferences, classroom demonstrations or other consultation models/ activities.
- In collaborations with the classroom teams, arrange for and perform activities, materials, and prompting activities that relate to IEP goals throughout the school year.
- Provide and documents direct/consult therapy minutes as required on each student IEP on caseload throughout the school year.
- Interact with school team regarding recommendations throughout the school year.
- Participate in all classroom team meetings on caseload throughout the school year.
- Participate in all scheduled in-house training throughout the school year.
- Complete progress/contact notes on appropriate form and maintain in specified location throughout the school year.
- Establish and maintain a consistent form of communication with the parents/guardians of students as needed on caseload throughout the school year.
- Provide support, resources, and recommendations for classrooms on caseload as needed throughout the school year.
- Provide supervision to interns, paraprofessionals or speech & language assistants throughout the school year.
- Manages inventory of therapeutic equipment and assessments, and project needs for budget planning.
- Adheres to federal and state legislation, regulation, and policies that affect speech and language therapy practice.

Licensed PreK-12 Speech Language Pathologist
Salary Range - $44,715 - $85,749
