Position: Drama Teacher – ACTS Magnet School
2025-2026 School Year
 
Qualifications:
 
• Valid South Carolina certification in Drama or English
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement (required to obtain endorsement)
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
 
Contract: 190 Days
Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Scale, commensurate with degree and experience
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
• Design and deliver rigorous, accelerated instruction for artistically gifted and talented middle school students.
• Collaborate with both core content and fine arts teachers to provide a well-rounded, accelerated learning experience.
• Track and evaluate students’ artistic development and performance throughout the school year.
• Create opportunities for students to compete and perform in various fine arts events.
• Integrate technology to enhance students' learning and knowledge of dance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in best practices for teaching drama and the arts.
