    MAINTENANCE-HVAC TECHNICIAN

     
               
    POSITION: HVAC Technician
    WORK SCHEDULE: 260 days/8 hours per day  
    SALARY RANGE: Position is on Grade 18 (Certified candidates only) of the Classified Salary Scale
    DUTIES:




    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines. Repairs and maintains all types of air conditioning and refrigeration units.
    • Repairs and maintains hot water heaters and steamers.Repairs and maintains heating equipment.
    • Installs electrical panels, conduit and wiring.
    • Installs and repairs all light fixtures and switches.Repairs dishwashers, stoves and water fountains.
    • May be required to be on 24-hour call.

    • High school diploma or GED;
    • Position requires heavy lifting;
    • Valid SC driver’s license;
    • HVAC School or equivalent work experience in related field;
    • Ability to maintain all safety code requirements of state, local, and Board of Education guidelines.
