SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Principal and the Lead Nurse
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Oversees activities of the school clinic. |

Administer first aid to student and staff, within the scope of nursing practice, as needed for injuries and illness. Upon nursing assessment, school nurse will determine if the emergency services are to be called. Make referrals as needed. |

Monitor,coordinate,administer, and document daily scheduled medication in accordance with the medication procedures at school. |

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
LPN OR RN
Basic Literacy Skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Routine physical activities associated with typical office setting. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling and repetitive fine motor activities. Vision, hearing and verbal communications are essential functions of this position.
