Position Title: Substitute Aide (General Classroom/ Office Aide or Special Education Aide)
Department/Section: Substitute/ Human Resources
Supervisor: Substitute/ Attendance Secretary
Hourly Rate: $17.85/hour (effective 01/01/2025)
Schedule: Placements may be full or partial day.
JOB SUMMARY:
(General Classroom/Office Aide): This classified hourly role will support teachers in the overall daily classroom management. Duties may vary between placements and may consist of the following: assisting with classroom and group instruction, recess/lunch duty, assisting with classroom paperwork and management and other needs as temporarily assigned. Substitute aides select placements at any FUSD site and are expected to fill each role with the greatest dedication towards student achievment and district goals.
(Special Education Aide): This classified hourly role will support, on an as needed basis, the SPED departments' existing staff and functions. The duties will vary between placements and may consist of the following: support other SPED employees with their daily management of students and activities, ensure safe transfer of students to and from transportation, lunch coverage, personal care needs, supporting student IEP requirements, and other needs as temporarily assigned. Substitute SPED aides select placements at any FUSD site and are expected to fill each role with the greatest dedication towards student achievment and district goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
