Job Description:
 
The Arena Maintenance and Utility Worker position is responsible to assist building and grounds personnel in maintaining the facilities, grounds and the operations of the Sports Center (Ice Arena).
This position is a shared position between the Sports Center & Grounds.  During the summer months (April – September) you will work with the Building and grounds staff to maintain school grounds and buildings as needed.  During the winter month (October – March) you will be assigned to the Sports Center and assist staff on the day-to-day operations at the Sports Center.
This position will require evening and weekend work.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, abiding by and enforcing rules and policies pertaining to the facilities; providing a safe, clean and customer friendly environment for students, teachers, guests and patrons; complete opening/closing procedures; operation of the Zamboni and other ice making equipment; assist in directing staff to ensure assigned duties are completed; report all problems to supervisor; and, provide direction in the event of an emergency.
Other duties include general maintenance, such as; misc. painting, emptying trash, cleaning of building (including locker rooms, bathrooms, player boxes and penalty boxes), maintain cleanliness of public areas (lobby, halls, walls, floors, bleachers, etc.), building and ice maintenance, monitor all areas of building and ensure public does not have access to non-public areas, monitor parking lot for safety and security.
Knowledge of Small Machines:  Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner:  (Mowing equipment, Zamboni, snow blowers. plows, hand cleaning equipment)
 
Qualifications:
 
Boilers License is Preferred; Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written modes, including the ability to provide clear explanations and answers to inquiries.
Ability to comply with verbal and written instructions and established procedures.
Ability to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities and maintain attendance.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, complete tasks and routines as assigned.
Ability to work with employees and others in a courteous, tactful and professional manner.
Ability to effectively utilize human relations skills and abilities in resolving disputes and problems through verbal and nonverbal communications.
Ability to hear within normal hearing range and understand spoken English delivered at a normal conversational level.
Possess visual acuity correctable to read common documents and perform job tasks.

Job Description:
 
The Forest Lake Areas Schools Early Childhood Program is now accepting applications for a part-time ECFE Parent Educator beginning the 2025-2026 school year. This position will plan, develop lesson plans, and facilitate parent groups to discuss and explore family needs, parenting skills, and specific parenting issues with parents. The Parent Educator researches, interprets, and presents current information on family issues, serves as a resource to parents, and provides referral information as needed.
 
Work Schedule:
 
Approximately 25 hours per week. Hours are dependent upon ECFE class enrollment.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minnesota current Parent Educator license is required
 
Experience teaching parents of children birth-age 5

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Programs Teaching Assistant to join our team in the role of Noon Duty Assistant. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young students during lunchtime and outdoor activities.
 
Responsibilities
 
• Supervise and monitor students while the teacher is on break.

• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment where students can engage in play and social interactions.

• Assist students with transitions between activities and locations.

• Support classroom teachers and staff during lunch periods as needed.

• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of lunch and play areas.

• Respond promptly to student needs and behavior, ensuring positive interactions and conflict resolution when necessary.
 
Qualifications
 
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in early childhood education is a plus.

• Previous experience working with young children in a structured setting is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
 
Additional information:
 
The starting rate of pay is $17.03 - $20.33. The rate of pay is subject to change based on the bi-annual review of the school board. Hours are Monday - Friday 11:00-12:45. Job Description:
 
One full-time (1.0 FTE) Manufacturing Careers Teaching position is available for the upcoming  2025-26 school year.  The Program serves students in grades 7-12 at the Middle School, High School, and Community School and will be teaching Welding, Machining, Fabrication, Metal and Wood processing, Power and Energy, STEM, Engineering and design, and Robotics.  The candidate should display a general background in the manufacturing trades, welding, metal fabrication, and CAD used in shop facilities. Some classes currently scheduled to be taught for the upcoming school year are: metals technology, welding & machine tool, metal fabrication, and engineering. Significant investment has been made in upgrading equipment in this area. The Manufacturing Careers courses often create a variety of useful products that are used/sold in the community.

Forest Lake Area Middle School is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as an Academic Learning Specialist.  This position will report to the school principal and be responsible for direct student service through a push-in and pull-out intervention model, planning instruction and/or adaptation of the instructional program to facilitate student learning in literacy through collaboration with our MTSS team and English department.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minnesota teaching license required.  License in Communication Arts and Literature or K-6 Elementary Education preferred.  Master’s degree in education or related field preferred • Minimum five years’ successful classroom experience with demonstrable student achievement results in literacy and math preferred • Experience using data in diagnostic programming and instructional planning • Proven results from implementing best practices and research-based strategies in literacy and math instruction • Demonstrated skill in using formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and positively impact student learning • Experience differentiating instruction to meet the needs of individual learners • Experience working with students at all levels and providing both intervention and enrichment opportunities • Effective listening, written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills when working with staff, students, and community • Familiarity with Fastbridge screening and assessment tools and reports • Proficiency with technology and technology systems • Ability to work in a team setting • LETRS Training preferred

Long Term Sub (1.0 FTE) Occupational Therapist position is currently available Districtwide starting on August 25, 2025 to provide Occupational Therapy services to students from 8/25/2025 through 10/06/2025.
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Identify the needs of students with disabilities through appropriate evaluation procedures

• Plan, develop and implement appropriate interventions to support student progress

• Collaborate in the development of IEP's and IFSP's

• Communicate with students, parents and staff to support student progress

• Monitor student progress and collaborate with teams to implement best practices

• Maintain records accurately as required by state laws and district policies

• Complete Third Party Billing requirements for students who are eligible

• Attend department, district and parent meetings

• Travel to and from schools or community sites to provide school OT service

• Other job-related duties as assigned
 
Specific Qualifications or Licenses Required:
 
• Licensed in Occupational Therapy through the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy

• Ability to work as a part of an educational team

• Strong communication skills

• Previous work experience in a school setting or previous experience working with children is beneficial
 
Starting rate of pay range:  Long Term Sub less than 75 days =$242.03 - $279.68 per day.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions.

The Paraprofessional Substitute provides support to teachers in carrying out individualized and group lesson plans and classroom activities and also provides students with personal care and attention.  The starting rate of pay for a para substitute is $14.00/hr.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions. 
 
The Office/Clerical Substitute provides support to schools in the administrative assistant and other office roles - greeting and directing visitors, answering phone calls, assisting students who need appointments with their counselor, or who just need a bit of TLC. The starting rate of pay for an office/clerical substitute is $14.00/hr.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions. 
 
The Title I Substitute provides support to staff in meeting the needs of students by monitoring students, interacting with students, setting up activities, identifying needs and performing clerical activities. The starting rate of pay for a Title 1 substitute is $14.00/hr.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions. 
 
The Noon Duty Substitute monitors students during lunch hour and recess to provide a duty free period for the teachers and provides clerical assistance to teachers for classroom projects. The starting rate of pay for a Noon Duty substitute is $14.00/hr.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions. 
 
The LPN Substitute provides health related services to students.  Must have a current LPN license on file. The starting rate of pay for an LPN substitute is $19.00/hr.  Benefits are not available with substitute positions.

Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of School Bus Driver
                     
POSITION:	School Bus Driver Trainee

STARTING RATE OF PAY/RANGE:	$20.03 - 22.87

Job Description:
 
Forest Lake Area Schools is now accepting applications for school bus driver trainees.  Full training provided.  Classroom, behind-the-wheel and licensing in our easy to drive buses with automatic transmissions.  Apply online or complete an application in person at:

Qualifications:
 
• Applicant must be 21 years of age.

• Applicant must have a driving record and personal background history free of any disqualifying offenses.

• Applicant must pass a school bus physical and drug test.

• Applicant must complete all School District provided CDL required training
 
THE BENEFITS OF DRIVING A SCHOOL BUS: 
 
• Work part-time locally. No nights or weekends

• Regular bus drivers earn dental, life insurance, paid holidays and are eligible for single coverage medical insurance.

• Save daycare costs. Children aged 3+ years old can ride with you.

• Paid training in our easy to drive buses equipped with automatic transmission.
