External Licensed Substitute	Pay
Daily Substitute The “loyalty rates” count all full days of substitute teaching in a given year and may be consecutive or non-consecutive. Substitute teachers with 30+ days of service in the previous school year automatically begin at the highest pay rate.	$27.00	per period
	$29.00	per period with 15+ days of service/year
	$31.00	per period with 30+ days of service/year
Daily Substitute - Licensed D94 Retiree	$34.00	per period
Daily Substitute - “Den Time”	$20.00	per Den Time period
Long-Term Substitute	$247.00	per day based on BA+0/Step 1 salary
This rate is paid after teaching in the same assignment for 15 or more consecutive days An additional $49.00/period is paid for overload classes School Counselors, Social Workers, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Certified Nurses are paid 7 periods - $345.00/day


QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to work with high school students effectively.
• ISBE Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License required
JOB DUTIES
• Assignments are on-call/as needed.  
• No guarantee of work but no minimum work requirements either. 
• Supervise high school students.
• Deliver lessons as provided by the teacher.
• May need to assist students with technology use.
• Other related duties as assigned
