The benefits of our internship are that we prepare school psychologists who can function in any school district post-graduation.  That is, we train generalists.  We emphasize the skills needed to be successful psychologists, including assessment and consultation skills, problem solving and team-based abilities, data management and administrative competencies, extensive mental health services, MTSS and inclusive practices, as well as the full spectrum of special education services.  Each intern works at two primary sites, one elementary and one middle school, with two primary supervisors who are devoted to high quality supervision.  We also have a 20-day rotation at our local high school (ETHS) in accordance with internship rules.  In addition to the experiences offered at the two primary sites, interns can spend time at any of our specialized settings, including a school within a residential facility for students who are wards of the state, a preschool facility, a separate school for severely handicapped students and several specialty classrooms across the district. District 65 offers an internship site committed to the training of future school psychologists.

Park School Extended School Year Program provides Park Students with a continuation of IEP services from the regular school year to address retention and recoupment of skills developed throughout the year.  Ages 3-22, students with moderate to significant disabilities.
 
Role Responsibilities: Plan lessons, provide instruction in enrichment activities (may include, but not limited to: fine arts, science, vocational, literacy, STEM).  Appx 6-forty minute classes a day.  Collaborate and coordinate with IEP team members.
 
Program Details:

Stipend: $4,660 ($3,160 student contact hours or 210.66 daily + $400 Orientation, $700 Daily Planning and $400 Professional Responsibilities)

$1,750 ($1,600 contact hours and $150 orientation)
