Job Summary
The macOS & Systems Engineer supports the district's macOS and related technology environments, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems. This role focuses on macOS, JAMF administration, scripting, and other system integration tasks while collaborating with team members to enhance the district's technological infrastructure. The macOS & Systems Engineer will report to the Executive Director of Technology.
Education Required - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in macOS systems management and JAMF administration
- Expertise in macOS troubleshooting and system deployment
- Proficiency in shell scripting (sh and bash) and Unix-based environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure, SSO integrations, and provisioning
- Familiarity with managing certificates and Chrome browser policies for Macs
- Understanding of classroom technology tools and software
- Certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or JAMF Certified Administrator (Jamf 300) are preferred
Conditions Of Employment
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting up to 35 pounds, bending, standing, and maneuvering around school facilities
- Travel between various locations within the district as needed
