Summer Literacy Intensive is for 2nd- 5th-grade students to progress significantly in their decoding, encoding, and overall literacy abilities throughout the 5-week program. Educators will work with students to provide concrete skills and strategies that support them in becoming more confident and skilled readers.
5 licensed staff positions with Reading or Special Education endorsement.
Requirements:
- Licensed staff with Reading or Special Education endorsement.
- Educators may have experience using Wilson Language Fundations, Just Words, and Wit and Wisdom, but not required.
- Learning focus area: Literacy Development and Social Emotional Learning
Role Responsibilities: Educators will plan and deliver instruction for an estimated 8-10 students and promote a productive learning environment that balances reading and writing development with social-emotional learning and where students can grow and develop decoding, encoding, and written expression skills while practicing comprehension strategies and learning vocabulary words.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Oakton Elementary School
Stipend: $3,800 ($2,300 student contact hours, $400 Orientation, $700 Daily Planning, and $400 Professional Responsibilities)
