Pre-K Assistant/Instructional Facilitator

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Possess a valid teaching certificate from the Arkansas Department of Education
- Preferred administrative certification on Arkansas teaching license preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other in grade level, school, and district teams
- Experience working with preschool children preferred

Evaluation:
Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the preschool supervisor assisted by the preschool coordinator in regard to evaluations.
Job Goal:
The Preschool Assistant/Instructional Facilitator will assist the preschool supervisor in duties assigned according to standards for the state of Arkansas as promulgated by the Arkansas Department of Education or other accrediting body. The Assistant/Instructional Facilitator will assist the Preschool Supervisor in maintaining a safe environment for all students at the preschool.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures and licensing regulations.
- Carry out a daily preschool schedule under the direction of the preschool supervisor and serve in all assigned areas assisting with that schedule.
- Supports the school administration with ascertaining, evaluating & progress monitoring of data points.
- Assist in entering students and developmental data into COPA.
- Facilitates small group instruction under the direction of the lead teacher.
- Provides supervision for students at all times when students are assigned or entrusted to their care. Maintains student/teacher ratio.
- Continues assistance of supervision of students by providing behavioral support and modification systems to increase the success of the student.
- Coordinates and assists parent day events, onsite field trips, and other building activities as needed.
- Aides in connecting families to community resources, programs, and services.
- Ensures fairness and impartiality in all matters relating to students.
- Actively participates in collaborative planning both in the classroom and at the building level.
- Develops and maintains professional and collegial relationships.
- Fills the role of the lead teacher as needed by the preschool supervisor.
- Other duties, as assigned.
