Terms of Employment:
The contract length will be dependent upon the sports being coached.
The salary will be based on the salary schedule A&J.

Evaluation:
Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the head coach of the sport being coached as well as the athletic director.

Job Goal:
The Assistant Coach will oversee the successful implementation of the head coach’s philosophy, schemes, and goals for the sport being coached.

Performance Responsibilities:
1. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
2. Serves at the assigned grade level and is classified as an assistant to the head coach of the sport being coached.
3. Assumes the responsibilities for the development of the specific team within the total program, under the direction of the head coach.
4. Assists the head coach in ways that will benefit the total program.
5. Attends all coaches’ meetings called by the head coach and athletic director.
6. Carries out assignments prepared and given by the head coach.
7. Assists the head coach in distribution and collection of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
8. Takes part in special awards programs, promotional programs, and other programs/activities deemed important to the sport by the head coach.
9. Responsible for the conduct of student athletes and other involved students at all times:  practice, games, bus rides, locker rooms, etc.
10. Responsible for security of all facilities used by the team and coach when the head coach is not present and/or custodians are not present.
11. Shows respect for officials, press, opposing team/coaches, parents, fans, students, athletes, fellow coaches, and teachers.
12. Works to promote a positive school climate and promote school spirit.
13. Develops teamwork, morale, sportsmanship, courtesy, fair play, and academic excellence and encourages multi-sport participation.
14. Works to promote unity within the District coaching staff.
15. Performs any other duties or responsibilities directly related to the coaching position.
16. Seeks out opportunities to grow professionally as a coach.
17. Manages time well and does not allow coaching duties to interfere with any classroom responsibilities.
18. Plans, organizes, and effectively implements  the teaching of fundamental skills, game strategies, rules, and regulations.

Evaluation:
Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the building-level principal who is assisted by the assistant principal in regard to evaluations.

Job Goal:
The classroom teacher will endeavor to teach and educate students according to standards for the state of Arkansas as promulgated by the Arkansas Department of Education or other accrediting body.  Furthermore, the teacher will teach the adopted curriculum developed and implemented by Conway Public Schools, working always to provide the richest educational experience possible.  The teacher will also strive to teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to their care by the school district.

Performance Responsibilities:
1. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
2. Plans, prepares, and delivers lessons consistent to and aligned with District curricula.
3. Possesses and deploys various instructional strategies in order to meet different learning styles as well as specific needs of students assigned to them.
4. Stays abreast of changes in standards, curriculum documents, resources, and trends in education.
5. Utilizes and integrates appropriately student use of technology in the classroom.
6. Assesses, records, and reports the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of all students.  
7. Embraces an attitude of being a continual learner, facilitator of learning, and a reflective practitioner.
8. Utilizes effective classroom management techniques to provide a safe learning environment for all students.
9. Communicates regularly with parents and/or guardians about student progress, behavior, or needs.

2. Sweeps, dust-mops, wet-mops, scrubs, strips and waxes floors, vacuums carpets; ability to operate an auto-scrubber, buffer, and scrubber.
3. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and classrooms.
4. Cleans windows and door glass.
5. Cleans and sanitizes sinks, countertops, microwaves, coffee makers, and refrigerators in break rooms.
6. Cleans cafeteria.
