The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Building Assistant Principal for Grades 3-4. Qualifications: The Camdenton R-III Hawthorn Asssiant Principal shall:
The Assistant Principal shall be qualified for a DESE-issued Principal's Certificate for the type of school to which he/she is assigned.
The Assistant Principal shall have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a school at the appropriate level.
The Assistant Principal shall have a master's degree in school administration from an accredited institution of higher learning and hold a Principal's Certificate issued by the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible to the principal of his/her respective buildings. His/Her relationship with the Principal shall be one of mutual cooperation and close coordination of effort.
2. Help to establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the schools.
3. Assist in the management and preparation of the elementary budget.
4. Keep his/her supervisor informed of events and activities of an unusual nature, as well as routine matters.
5. Maintain active relationships with students and parents.
6. Assist in supervising the school's educational program.
7. Assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
8. Assist in the development, determination of appropriateness, and monitoring of the instructional program.
9. Assume responsibility for his/her professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizations and through attendance at regional, state, and national meetings.
10. Assist in recruiting, screening, hiring, training, assigning, and evaluating the school's professional staff.
11. Assist in the inservice orientation and training of teachers.
12. Perform those duties mutually agreed upon with the Principal as being most effective in the effort to achieve the school's educational goals.
13. Conduct oneself as a representative of the school at all times and shall assist the Principal and the Superintendent in establishing and maintaining a good relationship with the community.
14. Be responsible for the operation of the school program during the absence of the Principal.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:
Ten and a half month (213 day) contract with salary and work year to be established by the Board. Sick leave will be allowed as provided in Board of Education Policy
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
