    | GENERAL DESCRIPTION            
    We are seeking a dynamic instructor to work with high school students in Grades 9 – 12.  This instructor will teach a dedicated 2-year Information Technology career program to 11th and 12th grade students in addition to an introductory class to underclassmen.  Students will participate in the Business Professionals of America career-technical student organization. 
     
    Junior Year (2 bells)
          
    • Web Design:  Students learn Hypertext Markup Language (HTML); Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); Web based protocols such as FTP, TCP/IP, and HTTP
    •     
    • Game Design & Programming: Students use commercial and open-source programs and applications to learn input method handling, animation, collision detection, game physics, and basic artificial intelligence
    Senior Year (2 bells) 
          
    • Programming:  Using commercial and open-source languages, programs, and applications students learn the basics of building simple interactive applications and the basic units of logic such as sequence, selection, and loop.
    •     
    • Object Oriented Programming:  Using a variety of commercial and open source programs and applications, including Java and C++, students will learn support static, instance method, inheritance, polymorphism, exception handling, and object serialization.
    Grades 9 & 10  
          
    • Introduction to Programming & Software: Students will learn safety, security, ethical issues in computing and social networking, input/output systems, computer hardware and operating systems, and office applications.

    | QUALIFICATIONS 
          
    • Must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:      
      • Willingness & ability to complete Ohio’s alternative teacher licensure process AND 
              
        • High school diploma AND at least 5 years of relevant work experience OR
        •     
        • Bachelors degree in a related area AND at least 2 years of relevant work experience OR
      • Holds a bachelor’s degree AND holds a valid Ohio Resident Educator, Professional, Permanent or Five-Year Career-Technical teaching license in any field AND passes (or has passed) the OAE content-knowledge test for Business Education (008) AND willing to undergo a transcript review by Ohio State Board of Education to ensure appropriate grade level pedagogy course has been completed; OR
      • Current Ohio State Board of Education licensure in one of the following

    • Willingness/ability to obtain College Credit Plus (CCP) instructor status with post-secondary partner(s);
    •     
    • Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
    •     
    • Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
    •     
    • Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
    •     
    • State-issued identification card with photograph;
    •     
    • History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
    •     
    • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

    | SALARY                                           Based upon experience and education ($49,667 – 103,605)
