GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Preschool program services students at East and West Elementary, and offers full-time 7-hour per day positions with a 151-day work calendar Monday through Thursday making this a great work-life balance while making a difference in the lives of little people! If you would like more flexibility, consider joining the substitute list.
The majority of our classrooms follow the 50/50 model - eight students with special needs and eight typically developing students.
Under the direction of the Principal or designee, this employee assists in the supervision, care and instruction of preschool students by monitoring student behavior, performing classroom tasks, providing information to appropriate school personnel, and assisting students on an Individual Education Program (IEP).
PAY & BENEFITS
Beginning hourly rate: $16.37/hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.
Substitute hourly rates:
$16.00/hour holding an Educational Aide Permit with the ESEA highly qualified endorsement on permit
$13.00/hour holding a standard Educational Aide Permit

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and meet one of the following criteria (1) hold an Associate’s degree or higher, (2) have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework, or (3) take a Paraprofessional exam.
