  •   Alkek Elementary School is seeking energetic and knowledgeable EC-6 Teachers to join the AES Family for the 2025-26 School Year.

    Bandera ISD is a rural district with an enrollment of 2230+ students. Bandera ISD currently practices a 4-Day Instructional Week (Monday - Thursday).
    AES is a Title I, PK-5 campus with an enrollment of 650+ students.
    The Alkek family has a core belief that student success is rooted in the connections built between students and staff.
    With this belief in place, AES is searching for the teacher who will bring high energy to the campus, friendship and fellowship to the community, and a strong commitment to student growth to the classroom.  

    Start Date: July 28, 2025
    *Actual grade level assignments will be determined based on applicant skill sets and experience.

     Requirements:
    - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
    - Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught
    - ESL certification

    Additional Information:
    - Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment
    - Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels
    - Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals
    - Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth
    - Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways.
    - Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction
    - Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff, and provide meaningful feedback
    - Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents
    - Work cohesively with the campus staff in a self-contained atmosphere
    - Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom
    - Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
    - Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills
    - Supervise instructional aide (if applicable)
