TITLE: Marching Band Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS: - Prior experience teaching or coaching marching band techniques (preferred)
- Knowledge of music theory, marching band repertoire, and/or drill design (preferred)
- Experience participating in or assisting with a marching band program, either as a student or staff member
- Proficiency in playing a musical instrument or performing colorguard work, preferably one commonly found in marching bands (e.g., trumpet, clarinet, percussion)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and community members
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and schedules, particularly during the marching season
- A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of young musicians
REPORTS TO: Marching Band Director/Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Annual salary, work schedule and other conditions of employment in accordance with the York Suburban Education Association negotiated agreement
