POSITION:                                     BUS DRIVER - PUPIL TRANSPORTATION

RESPONSIBILITIES:                       To transport all students in a safe and efficient manner and perform all activities related
                                                         to the operation of the school vehicle. Reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:                          1. Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License with the required endorsements. 
                                                             (On-Site Training is available to acquire CDL)
                                                         2. Minimum safe driving experience as determined by the Board of Education.
                                                         3. Willingness to be trained for and ability to pass applicable MVC tests for driving passengers.
                                                         4. Sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems.
                                                         5. Ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure their safety and well-being, and protect
                                                            against vandalism.
                                                        6. Reliable person of good moral character, not less than 21 years of age.
                                                        7. Meets physical examination/health requirements, as required by N.J.S.A. 18A:16-2.
                                                        8. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

SALARY:                                         10 month position with terms and conditions established per Board of Education/WMBDA Agreement

POSITION:                                    VEHICLE AIDE - TRANSPORTATION
                                                        SPECIAL EDUCATION REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR

RESPONSIBILITIES:                     To assist special needs students on school vehicles. Vehicles transporting students
                                                       may include handicap/wheelchair vehicle, 16-passenger, and 24 passenger- buses.
                                                       The vehicle aide ensures students are loaded onto the vehicle safely, are secured
                                                       in their seats, and closely monitored. The aide also ensures that students have left the
                                                       vehicle safely at the completion of the route.

QUALIFICATIONS:                        School bus aide experience, a plus. High School diploma; required criminal history check
                                                       and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

PAY SCALE:                                  $16.50 per hour - Ten (10) month position - District school year calendar
