SUMMARY: The Middle School Boys Basketball Coach position is responsible for leading the team in training, instruction, conditioning, and performance. The position provides support and education to athletes in an effort to excel in their given sport in a healthy and safe environment. The position views winning not only as success, but as helping team members reach goals.

The schedule and hours for this position vary and aligns to the NDHSAA schedule. For questions regarding the schedule, please contact the building-level athletic director.

SUMMARY: The Head Coach - Cheerleading position is responsible for leading the team in training, instruction, conditioning, and performance. The position provides support and education to athletes in an effort to excel in their given sport in a healthy and safe environment. The position views winning not only as success, but as helping team members reach goals.

POSITION: Lifeguard - Hulbert Aquatic Center

SUMMARY:  As a member of Hulbert Aquatic Center, the lifeguard is responsible for providing patrons with a safe, clean and enjoyable setting while responding to their needs as they relate to use of the aquatic program areas.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and enjoyable environment
• Follow the procedures of the certifying agency, the Minn-Kota Chapter of the American Red Cross
• Knowledgeable of lifeguard regulations established by the American Red Cross and Hulbert Aquatic Center
• Knowledgeable of all pool equipment and ensure that they are working properly and report any problems to the Aquatics Director
• Attend all meetings and training sessions
• Communicate with the public with a positive and professional attitude
• Record chemical readings, water temperature, pool inspections, accident/incident reports and participant statistics, etc
• Arrive on the pool deck ready to work, on time, dressed in uniform and have possession of all necessary equipment
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies
• Keep full attention on the pool and its occupants at all times when on duty
• Assist with event set up, breakdown and other cleaning duties as needed
• Ability to adhere to the assigned work schedule by maintaining regular and punctual attendance


QUALIFICATIONS: 
• Current lifeguard certification required or motivated to obtain lifeguard certification
• Reliable and dependable attendance
• Knowledge of pool equipment
• Ability to read and record chemical and temperature readings and statistics
• Prior experience as a lifeguard preferred, but not required

SALARY: Beginning at $15.00/hour

• Lesson plans are required for each lesson in writing on the back of the attendance sheets.
• Ensure participants meet course completion requirements and issue course completion reports and certificates.
• Ability to adhere to the assigned work schedule by maintaining regular and punctual attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
• Registered Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to read, write and comprehend technical documentation and information
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings
• Ability to work with a variety of people
• Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to use computers and other forms of technology
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
• Understanding of confidentiality and commitment to abide by confidentiality regulations
