Essential Performance Responsibilities |
Responsible for all pupil personnel services and management of all special education programs across the district Responsible for the design, implementation and measurement of short-term and long-range plans to build programs across the district. Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate: Supervisor of Special Education Special Education Coordinators All special education programs across the district Psychological and Social Work Services Speech and Language Pathologists Occupational and Physical Therapists School Nurses Special Education Paraprofessionals PreSchool Program and Birth to Three Transitions Homebound Tutoring Outside Placements and Push-In Contracted Services Creates budget and cost analysis for all special education programs and services Writes and implements a variety of grants, including IDEA Prepares state required reports, grant reports and compliance verification such as the SEDAC-G and Medicaid Plans for organizing professional development of all related staff Plans and conducts regularly scheduled meetings with all pupil personnel services staff members Acts as the district chairperson for numerous community committees Vehicle for public relations and open communication between and among service providers, staff, administrators and the public 504 Coordinator McKinney Vento Liaison Title IX Coordinator District Safe School Climate Leader Additional assignments as determined by the Superintendent of Schools |
