  •   Job Description:  Classified Personnel
    • 260 days/8 hours per day
    • Excellent benefits package
    • Under the general direction of the Technology Director, troubleshoot, monitor, maintain, and support the technology needs of staff, teachers, and students
    • Work with Level III Support to resolve issues with user access to resources
    • Install and troubleshoot software and hardware upgrades or repairs in a timely manner as assigned
    • Provide assistance in correcting low-level problems (i.e. printer jams, loose cabling, boot errors, general application errors, projector issue, etc.)
    • Provide an accurate description of problems requiring the assistance of Level III Support
    • Ensure that all desktop resources, including hardware such as printers and scanners as well as application and operating software, are operating correctly on desktop, laptop, or tablet devices
    • Enter, update, and complete work orders using the ITS Help Desk system with all required information for the troubleshooting and repair of Corporation hardware and software resources
    • Maintain accurate records of loaner equipment for students
    • Work with students to assist with any damage or loss claims
    • Work with vendor(s) to send and receive equipment sent out for repair or replacement
    • Conduct preventive maintenance of building hardware
    • At times, assist ITS with support in other areas of LCSC
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Job Qualifications:
    • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred Associate's degree in a related area of study or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the Corporation
    • IC3 and/or A+ Certification preferred
    • Technology background in an educational setting is desired
    • Experience with wide local area networks is preferred
    • Experience with support of Chromebooks, Windows, and IOS operating systems
    • Demonstrate knowledge of wired and wireless networking principles and concepts
    • Demonstrate computer troubleshooting skills including hardware repairs
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Google Applications and Microsoft Office Products
    • Demonstrate the ability to lift or push computer equipment weighing more than 50 lbs
    • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
    • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and an ability to gain the cooperation of others internally and externally
    • Review from time to time and make recommendations as it relates to technology in a school environment
    • Ability to drive a car and travel to different sites
    • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends and to be available on short notice to resolve problems
    • Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear drug screen and the expanded criminal history background check for school employees as required by IN state law
