    • We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative professional to support students, staff, and families by fostering positive and respectful relationships.
    • This role involves working closely with administrators, educators, and external agencies to enhance student success.
    Job Requirements
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, administrators, and external professionals advocating for student needs.
    • Provide training on and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and behavior analysis.
    • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and families to address student performance concerns and develop effective strategies.
    • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers and administrators.
    • Train and support teachers and paraprofessionals in data collection.
    • Model and provide professional development on effective classroom management and behavior management for students with disabilities.
    • Train and educate staff on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to enhance understanding and effective instructional practices.
    • Assist students in transitioning to new educational placements and ensure appropriate supports are in place.
    • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) by providing input on student behavior and support needs.
    • Offer technical assistance during behavioral crises and develop/monitor individualized behavior intervention plans.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education
    Job Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, or a related field preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience considered.
    • Minimum of 3 years working with students with disabilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioral challenges.
    • Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminial history background check for school personnel as required by IN State Law

With the retirement of Kory Fernung after 21 years of exemplary service, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Athletic Director to lead our athletic programs into the future.

     

    About the Role

     

    The Athletic Director (AD) is responsible for the management and oversight of all athletic programs at Tipton High School. This role requires a strong leader with organizational and communication skills to ensure student-athlete success while maintaining compliance with district, state, and national regulations. The AD fosters a positive and competitive environment that supports student growth and upholds the values of Tipton High School.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    Program Leadership & Administration:

     

    ?Develop and implement a vision for the athletic department aligned with the district’s mission.

     

    ?Supervise, evaluate, and support coaches and athletic staff.

     
    • Promptly post vacant coaching positions
    • Promote vacant coaching positions through all available media
    • Manage athletic department budgets, including fundraising and sponsorships.
     

    ?Maintain athletic facilities and ensure safety for all student-athletes.

     

    Compliance & Eligibility:

     

    ?Ensure adherence to state athletic associations (e.g., IHSAA) and Hoosier Conference regulations.

     

    ?Monitor academic eligibility for student-athletes.

     

    ?Coordinate and oversee athletic schedules, including games, practices, and transportation.

     

    ?Manage student-athlete documentation using FinalForms,  including physical exams and waivers.

     

    Student & Community Engagement:

     

    ?Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement among student-athletes.

     
    • Engage in active promotion of athletic programs using all available media
     

    ?Build strong relationships with students, parents, booster organizations, faculty, and community members.

     

    ?Plan and oversee athletic banquets, awards, and recognition events.

     

    ?Serve as a liaison between coaches, administration, and the community.

     

    Game Management & Event Planning:

     

    ?Organize athletic events, including scheduling officials and game-day staff.

     
    • Consistent and frequent communication with building, grounds, and maintenance staff
     

    ?Manage ticket sales, concessions, and event logistics.

     

    ?Supervise and ensure security at athletic events.

     

    ?Develop emergency response plans for athletic events.

     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

     

    Education & Experience:

     

    ?Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration, education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

     

    ?3-5 years of experience in coaching, teaching, or athletic administration.

     

    ?Prior experience as an athletic director or assistant athletic director preferred.

     

    Skills & Abilities:

     

    ?Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.

     

    ?Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

     

    ?Effective verbal and written communication skills.

     

    ?Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

     

    ?Knowledge of state and national athletic regulations.

     

    Certifications & Licenses:

     

    ?Valid Indiana teaching license preferred but not required.
