Maintenance Clerk - Hourly Salary Range - $22.72 - Fulltime - 260 days PURPOSE: The role of a Maintenance Clerk would be in charge of our work order system and help keep a clear line of communication between the schools and maintenance department. This person would also help with parts ordering, searching for hard-to-find items and be in charge of the in-stock inventory allowing the maintenance personnel to stay in the schools working. Individuals of such profile work under the guidance of a Maintenance Supervisor and are required to follow all standard operating procedures of work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist district maintenance personnel as directed.
Consult with the Maintenance Supervisor or other staff regarding preventive maintenance programs as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment and supplies in a safe, efficient manner.
Ensure that standards for maintenance and safety of the district equipment are observed.
Observe all district policies and procedures for health and safety including Hazard Communication Program, the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan, The Lockout/Tagout Program etc.
Provide assistance during emergencies
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance supervisor.
Keeping a record of all the maintenance and service activities, which have been conducted in a facility.
Filling order forms and other documentations for the purchase of spare parts for machinery.
Efficiently managing time, meeting deadlines and completing all tasks assigned by the supervising authority.
Coordinating work functions with fellow workers and other departments of the organization.
Monitor all health, safety and security conditions in the building and adjoining grounds and provide for the repair, corrections, and/or resolution of any concerns or hazards.
Maintain repair records for maintenance supplies and equipment.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations, which may have an adverse effect on the health or safety of students, staff and/or visitors to the building.
Attend training meetings and seminars, as approved, to upgrade as well as maintain job skills and knowledge of regulations and procedures related to custodial and maintenance operations.
Report accidents promptly to the administrative supervisor and take corrective action to prevent future incidents.
Keep assigned areas free of trash and obstacles, which block or restrict access to facilities or exits.
Submit purchase requests for materials, equipment, and supplies according to established district procedures.
React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
