  •   This announcement remains active at all times and applications are accepted for substitutes.  As substitutes are needed we will review, screen and schedule interviews. 
      
     Job Summary: On call to substitute for the Twin Falls School School District when a teacher is absent from the classroom.  Substitute teachers fulfill the role as a teacher's temporary replacement. 

    Compensation:
    Applicants holding at Bachelors Degree or higher - $115 per day
    Applicants holding an Associates Degree or 48 college credits - $100 per day
    Applicants holding a HS Diploma or GED - Hourly rate for paraeducator/computer lab assistant/elementary library assistant.
      

     QUALIFICATIONS (minimum)
    • An Associates Degree or 48 college credits or comparable experience is preferred
    • For classified positions (paraeducator/elementary library assistant/computer lab assistant) a HS diploma or GED is necessary.  After gaining experience, substitute may be moved into certified positions
    • Work independently and handle multiple priorities
    • Implement fair and appropriate classroom management techniques
    • Ability to work effectively with children as well as building staff
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
    Applicants not meeting the above qualifications and who have a high school diploma or GED will be considered for position as a classified substitute.  Classified positions requiring a substitute include paraeducators in the ERC, IRC, PRC classrooms, computer assistants, and elementary librarian technicians.
      
     All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.  Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.

    This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.
