POSITION:                          
• Social Studies – High School Teacher                                      
• Champion High School – Grades 9-12
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:          
•  Valid Ohio teaching license/certification in Adolescent to Young Adult (7-12) Integrated Social Studies (or eligibility to obtain one).
•  Student teaching experience or equivalent classroom experience at the high school level.
•  Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum frameworks and Ohio’s Learning Standards for Social Studies.
•  Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
•  Experience using a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning.
•  Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
•  Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
•  Knowledge of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
•  Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for social studies education.

The Champion Local School District is seeking a qualified applicant(s) for the following interpreter position:

• Sign Language Interpreter

Qualifications:                      
• Possesses Ohio Department of Education Interpreter for Hearing Impaired License and prefer a minimum of a 2-year associate degree.
• Experience working with deaf students. 
• Possesses the ability and skill to perform the primary functions of the position(s) and the ability and skill to perform the major areas of responsibility to work with deaf students as set forth in the job description as determined by the superintendent and local Board of education. 
Duties:                                   
• Facilitates communication between deaf and hearing individuals.
