COMPENSATION: $16.80 - $18.48 (24/25 SY)
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
HOURS: 40 Hours a Week, Monday-Friday
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Month
FUNCTION
The Maintenance shipping, receiving and clerical employee performs routine maintenance and facilities record keeping and distribution of supplies throughout the district, inventory management, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in general office and clerical work & working knowledge of business machines.
Experienced with Microsoft Word. Excel, Windows, Power Point.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Sound physical health; punctuality.
Ability to adapt to varying assignments and tasks.
Ability to make sound decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
Ability to relate cordially with others.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Supervisor may deem appropriate and acceptable.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and check-in shipments, materials and supplies.
Work in conjunction with Purchasing Clerk/Business Office Specialist confirming receipt of #1. Sign-off and provide verification of receipt. Advice for damaged or missing contents.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Prepare routine correspondence and special reports, newsletters, handbooks, etc.
Assist with School Facilities Board records and compiling district maintenance records.
Assist and/or perform duties consistent with janitorial and maintenance tasks in a school setting.
Operate district equipment, i.e. forklift, janitorial equipment.
Perform other duties as directed.
RELATED PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Heavy lifting (50 lbs.), including maneuvering, transporting, placing loads.

Physically demanding tasks under variable conditions, i.e., summer or inclement weather.

Stooping, bending, turning, reaching, etc. as necessary in performing duties and repairs, handling supplies and equipment.

Standing/ working for extended periods of time.

Proper handling of hazardous waste materials; prompt response to emergency situations.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Twelve-month Working Agreement. Salary as determined by the Board of Education. Evaluation in accordance with Board policy.
