JOB DUTIES:
 
• Develops plans for providing athletic trainer coverage at athletic activities on a schedule cooperatively determined by the athletic trainer and athletic director.
• Establishes daily hours of operation for the athletic training room.
• Provides for evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries; refers athletes to medical facilities when necessary.
• Designs and supervises rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries under the direction of a referring physician.
• Responsible for developing comprehensive emergency plans for his/her specific facilities.
• Provides for the prevention of athletic injuries through the application of protective taping, wraps, and braces.
• Advises coaches of flexibility, strengthening, and conditioning programs to help prevent injuries and optimize performance.
• Maintains high-quality medical records on all injuries and rehabilitation procedures.
• Complies with all policies regarding health care delivery as indicated by District regulations.
• Supervises athletic training for student aides; serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents.
• Counsels athletes on health related issues including nutrition and substance abuse.
• Performs other duties as required.
 
Terms:   Salary and work year to be recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.

• Ensures that the sports program complies with the rules and regulations of the school and District, the South Carolina High School League, affiliated Conference and Region. Complies with all other legal requirements of school athletic programs. Communicates to members of his/her team all policies, rules, procedures, and requirements as they pertain to the team.
• Ensures appropriate behavior of assigned coaching staff, players, and other team personnel at all times.
• Ensures punctual attendance at scheduled coaches’ meetings and rules clinics. Promotes the sports program by sponsoring fundraisers, sponsoring youth camps, attending team camps, etc.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Cheer Coach to join our dynamic cheerleading program. The Assistant Cheer Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of team training, preparation, and performance. Qualifications:
 
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level cheerleading experience preferred.
• Previous cheerleading coaching experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunting, and tumbling.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with athletes of various skill levels.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and travel for competitions/events as required.
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their highest potential.
 
Physical Requirements:
 
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including stunting, spotting, and demonstrating cheerleading techniques.

13. Assumes the responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day, and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, activate security alarm, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons are turned off.
14. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal.
15. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
16. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
