Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered and highly skilled educator who has a proven track record in special education and related services leadership to serve as a Supervisor of Special Education for the South Windsor Public Schools. The supervisor works collaboratively with building and district administrators, focused on the early childhood and elementary levels, to ensure the effective provision of special education programs and services. The supervisor serves as an effective liaison with parents, staff, and community agencies relating to special education.
South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,000 public school students. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree as well as a Connecticut certification as an Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor (092); have at least five years teaching or related services experience; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate well with students, staff and members of the school community.
