THE POSITION The primary goal of the Assistant Business Administrator is to assist the School Business Administrator in the operation of the Business Office and in maintaining fiscal planning and implementation. In addition, the candidate will support administrative personnel in the use of business information systems which include: budgeting/purchase order system, transportation system, cafeteria point of sales, free and reduced lunch applications and facility scheduling. Will also assist with budget, state, federal and local reports and oversee the district’s building program.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 1.School Business Administrator Certificate or eligibility.
2.Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.
3.Strong technical skills and computer proficiency.
4.Assist with the annual audit and any other audits that may be assigned.
5.Knowledge of grants and applicable local, state, and federal compliance requirements.
6.Familiarity with school budget development and G.A.A.P.
7.Familiarity with Public School Contracts Law and purchasing procedures.
8.Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
9.Experience in a school business office preferred.
10.Experience in school construction a plus.
11.Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
12.Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.
