Southern Oregon ESD (SOESD) is seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to manage fiscal operations and to support the superintendent in developing and directing the budget, while providing collaborative leadership for administrators in preparing business models for effective and efficient program operations.  The CFO also manages other program operations as requested by the superintendent, such as maintenance, facilities, and transportation.  The successful candidate should have a sharp focus on supporting educational outcomes while promoting organizational and program operations that are cost-competitive yet effective. 

The CFO should be an astute manager of fiscal resources, leading a team of professionals to support payroll, accounting, facilities management, contract review, procurement, and other duties to reach agency goals.  Working with the superintendent and the administrative team, the CFO promotes and supports a positive culture of efficient program operations with all staff, while playing a collaborative role in the development of highly effective integrated organizational systems, including human resources and risk management.  Experience with the iVisions accounting system is preferred.

Chief Financial Officer

POSITION GOAL:   
Supervise the various functions of the SOESD business office, maintenance, facilities, and transportation operations, and support ESD leadership through financial analysis, program design, and evaluation.  Produce cost efficiency and foster effective organizational operations. Manage the district budget, revenues, and expenditures, maintaining compliance with SOESD policies and federal and state law. Serve as advisor to the superintendent and the board of directors. The CFO may also manage other programs and staff as directed by the superintendent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                 
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned. 
Essential duties of this position include: 
1. Serve as financial officer for the district.
2. Work with program leaders and the superintendent to ensure that funds are properly budgeted and to prepare business models for effective and efficient program operations.
3. Support the improvement of programs and personnel, as well as the attainment of organizational and program goals, ensuring a high degree of efficiency, accountability, and positive work culture.
4. Work synergistically with the superintendent’s office and business office to facilitate a transparent, efficient, and effective process for all human resources, business office, and superintendent’s office functions.
5. Invest the funds of the district within the district policy and ORS guidelines.
6. Administer the wage and salary program and accumulate necessary data used in negotiations.
7. Organize, supervise, train, and evaluate supervised employees.
8. Close the books at the end of the fiscal year and prepare them for audit. Provide information to auditors.
9. Work synergistically with external technology vendors and SOESD technology programs to implement effective and efficient operational systems.
10. Manage workers' compensation claims.
11. Manage maintenance of buildings and grounds.
12. Manage transportation services.
13. Prepare bid specifications when needed.
14. Review contracts for grants, goods, and services.
15. Work with the insurance agent of record.
16. Serve as executive secretary to the business managers organization of constituent school districts and advise those districts on fiscal matters upon request.
17. Perform the statutory functions of the Safety Officer.
18. Participate collaboratively as an effective team member within and between departments and other organizations.
19. Establish and maintain high-trust regional relationships.
20. Support other organizations’ business processes as directed by the superintendent.
21. Manage other programs, staff, and budgets as directed by the superintendent.
22. Communicate clearly and appropriately.
23. Participate in professional growth activities.
24. Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with SOESD employees, local education agency representatives, and others contacted during the course of the workday.
25. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.

MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:         
1. Valid Oregon Administrator License (preferred). 
2. Master's Degree (Preferred).
3. Accounting Degree.
4. Oregon Driver's License.
5. Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a business office setting.
6. School district CFO/business manager experience (preferred).
7. Proficiency with accounting software.
8. Successful leadership background.
9. Strong decision-making skills.
10. Strong written and oral communication skills.
11. Ability and experience in working on a management/leadership team.
12. Knowledge of federal and Oregon finance law.

Administrator: Student Services Coordinator
 
POSITION GOAL:  Provide leadership in coordinating and supervising assigned special education programs and support services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                
1.  Establish program goals, policies, and procedures.
2.  Develop, implement, and monitor program services.

CCRN Quality Improvement Specialist

Position Goal:
Serve as Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS or coach) to child care providers with the purpose of improving provider knowledge and ability to deliver quality care and education programs.  A coach’s role may include working with individuals or groups to offer technical assistance, training, and resources.  Coaches may conduct pre-post assessments of child care environments, teacher-child interactions, or other quality indicators.  Coach may work with providers to develop a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to strengthen areas identified in the assessment and to support providers to implement their QIPs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Complete all required training from Western Oregon University to qualify as a QIS
2. Deliver coaching to child care providers with the goal of improving provider knowledge and ability to deliver quality care and education programs, including appropriate environments, activities, and teacher-child interaction, among other areas.  Coaching will be on-site and may also be by phone, email, or other means.  Coaching and technical assistance will be delivered in a supportive and collaborative manner built on the coach’s ability to establish a strong and positive relationship with the provider.
3. Deliver coaching services using a variety of strategies proven to be effective with adult learners.
4. Locate and deliver resources and present individual or group training, if appropriate, and ensure that information shared with providers is accurate, research-based, and relevant.
5. Work effectively with providers to develop a QIP and support implementation.
6. Submit all required paperwork accurately and completely.
7. Represent Child Care Resource Network and raise awareness of indicators of quality child care, the importance of early childhood and school readiness, and other critical areas of the field.
8. Comply with ESD rules and policies.
9. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse).
10. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Prerequisites:
1. Valid Oregon Driver's License.
2. English proficiency.
3. Solid working knowledge of child care related programs and related community resources; child abuse reporting, and child care regulations and licensing.
4. Excellent self-management skills and the ability to take initiative, work independently within established guidelines and with a diverse group of participants and partners
5. Proficiency inthe use of a variety of computer programs and the internet.
6. Knowledge of community resources within the service delivery area.
7. Positive, flexible attitude.
8. Demonstrated effective communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism.
9. Pass a background check and maintain enrollment in the Child Care Division Criminal History registry.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
2. Experience preferred providing early childhood training.
3. Mentoring and coaching experience preferred.

The Child Care Resource Network (CCRN) is seeking a bilingual Quality Improvement Specialist/Coach to join our team. This position requires being fluent in both Spanish and English.

CCRN and Oregon Child Care Alliance (OCCA) are partnering to provide business-based coaching and technical assistance to early learning educators in Jackson and Josephine Counties. CCRN Quality Improvement Specialist

Position Goal:
Serve as Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS or coach) to child care providers with the purpose of improving provider knowledge and ability to deliver quality care and education programs.  A coach’s role may include working with individuals or groups to offer technical assistance, training, and resources.  Coaches may conduct pre-post assessments of child care environments, teacher-child interactions, or other quality indicators.  Coach may work with providers to develop a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to strengthen areas identified in the assessment and to support providers to implement their QIPs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Complete all required training from Western Oregon University to qualify as a QIS
2. Deliver coaching to child care providers with the goal of improving provider knowledge and ability to deliver quality care and education programs, including appropriate environments, activities, and teacher-child interaction, among other areas.  Coaching will be on-site and may also be by phone, email, or other means.  Coaching and technical assistance will be delivered in a supportive and collaborative manner built on the coach’s ability to establish a strong and positive relationship with the provider.
3. Deliver coaching services using a variety of strategies proven to be effective with adult learners.
4. Locate and deliver resources and present individual or group training, if appropriate, and ensure that information shared with providers is accurate, research-based, and relevant.
5. Work effectively with providers to develop a QIP and support implementation.
6. Submit all required paperwork accurately and completely.
7. Represent Child Care Resource Network and raise awareness of indicators of quality child care, the importance of early childhood and school readiness, and other critical areas of the field.
8. Comply with ESD rules and policies.
9. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse).
10. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Prerequisites:
1. Valid Oregon Driver's License.
2. English proficiency.
3. Solid working knowledge of child care related programs and related community resources; child abuse reporting, and child care regulations and licensing.
4. Excellent self-management skills and the ability to take initiative, work independently within established guidelines and with a diverse group of participants and partners
5. Proficiency inthe use of a variety of computer programs and the internet.
6. Knowledge of community resources within the service delivery area.
7. Positive, flexible attitude.
8. Demonstrated effective communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism.
9. Pass a background check and maintain enrollment in the Child Care Division Criminal History registry.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
2. Experience preferred providing early childhood training.
3. Mentoring and coaching experience preferred. 
4. Bilingual preferred.
The equivalent combination of experience, training, certification, education, or degree that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be used as an alternative to prerequisites.

Pay:  Southern Oregon ESD Classified Hourly Compensation Schedule: $19.38/hr - $23.20/hr for 2024-2025 school year.

Early Intervention Teaching Assistant I 

POSITION GOAL: The Early Intervention Teaching Assistant I provides supervision and instructional activities for children with developmental delays; does related work as required.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY/SUPERVISION: The Early Intervention Teaching Assistant I is responsible for carrying out group and individual instruction of children as outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).  Work is 
performed under the daily supervision of the classroom teacher with training and oversight provided by a consulting Early Intervention Specialist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(Positions may consist of some or all of the following duties.)
1.   Prepare activities (e.g., snack, art) as directed through the daily schedule or supervisor instruction.
2.   Implement group and individual activities designed to encourage development in the areas of communication, cognitive, self-help, social, and motor skills.
3.   Provide specialized assistance with feeding, toileting, and delegated nursing tasks, including (but not limited to) medication administration, tube feeding, output measuring, and catheterization.
4.   Follow instructions of related service professionals regarding positioning, use of wheelchairs, communication boards, or other adaptive devices.
5.   Implement language and motor therapy goals as directed by therapists, and report progress regularly.
6.   Supervise children at all times to ensure a safe learning experience.
7.   Assist with the preparation and the clean-up of the facility, including dishwashing, vacuuming, and other light housekeeping tasks.
8.   Maintain attendance, goal tracking sheets, and other charting as required.
9.   Participate as a member of the curriculum and goal planning team.
10. Attend trainings as required.
11. Comply with EI/ECSE and ESD rules and policies.
12. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1.   High school graduation or equivalency and at least one year of experience caring for children.
2.   Knowledge of classroom and individual behavior management techniques, language strategies, and developmentally appropriate practices.
3.   Application of safety practices, laws, rules and regulations, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
4.   Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, learn through hands-on experiences; communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships with other employees, related service professionals, and parents; develop nurturing and supportive relationships with children; and recognize changing needs of children and respond appropriately.
5.   Sign language skills are helpful.
6.   With training, operation of computers or other augmentative communication devices, wheelchairs, or other positioning or adaptive devices.
7.   Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within sixty (60) days of employment.
8.   Pass a background check and maintain enrollment in the Child Care Division Criminal History registry.

Early Intervention Teaching Assistant III

POSITION GOAL:
The Early Intervention Teaching Assistant III works as a part of the team providing classroom and/or home instruction to children with developmental delays.
 
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY/SUPERVISION:
The Early Intervention Teaching Assistant III spends the majority of time in direct contact with children, in either individual or small group settings.  Some work may be performed independently in a child’s home.  Working under the direction of an Early Intervention Specialist, the Early Intervention Teaching Assistant III implements Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) objectives designed to remediate delays in areas of motor, cognitive, self-help, social, and language development.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(Positions may consist of some or all of the following duties.)
• Provide small group instruction in socialization, motor, cognitive, self-help, and language development.
• Provide individualized instruction in cognitive, self-help, motor, social, and language development.
• Accurately record data on children's progress on IFSP objectives daily, in accordance with IFSPs.
• Supervise children at all times, during structured activities, free play, or snack/lunch time.
• Under the direction of a therapist, prepare materials for and implement specialized motor and communication programs (e.g., phonology group and motor groups).
• Assist with the purchasing and preparation of snacks.
• Plan, organize, and lead weekly art projects, music activities, or circle time activities.
• Under the direction of a teacher or specialist, implement home or classroom-based individualized instruction programs for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• In the absence of the Early Intervention Associate, act as designated lead assistant in the preschool or toddler classroom.
• Assist the Early Intervention Specialist in ensuring a clean, safe, and attractive environment is maintained
• Participate as a member of the curriculum and goal planning team.   
• Attend trainings as required.
• Attend IFSP meetings as requested. 
• Assist with the collection of data for developmental assessments of children. 
• Comply with EI/ECSE and ESD rules and policies. 
• Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1. Requires a CDA or AA degree in a related field and at least one year of experience working with children with special needs, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, or any suitable combination of training and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the above-described duties.
2. Experience with developmental delays, developmentally appropriate practices, and behavior management techniques.
3. Ability to establish effective relationships with children, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and other involved persons.
4. Must demonstrate competency using specialized instructional techniques including (but not limited to) PECS, PRT, DTT and TEACCH.
5. Ability to follow directions and to exercise appropriate independent judgment as called for.
6. Ability to work in a structured setting and to deal with stress/pressure.
7. Must obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within sixty (60) days of employment.
8. Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License and a safe driving record.
9. Pass a background check and maintain enrollment in the Child Care Division Criminal History registry.
 
LOCATION:  In person at the Gilbert Creek Child Development Center: 1021 NW Highland Ave, Grants Pass, OR 97526
LENGTH OF POSITION:  1.0 FTE / 190 day calendar (academic year)
PAY:  Per Collective Bargaining Agreement: $18.53/hr to $22.19/hr for 2024-2025 school year.

Family Support and Connections (FS&C) is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to join our team.
 
FS&C services are designed to strengthen families so they can thrive and become self-reliant. FS&C Intervention Specialists work toward this goal by building trusting relationships that recognize the challenges that can impede growth, while helping families identify their own strengths that can help them move forward.

FS&C Specialists have a deep knowledge of ODHS and community services that are available, and work as collaborative partners with many different agencies to tailor assistance to best meet the needs of individual families. FS&C Specialists work with families that are experiencing a wide range of challenges, including disability and mental health issues, addiction, housing, education, domestic violence, involvement with law enforcement, and issues with children and parenting. FSC&C Specialists have the skills needed to offer support either directly or by connecting families to services, providing a lifeline to families and their children who are at risk.

There is a deep need for this level of support, and the FS&C approach has proven to be effective and successful. Matching the level of assistance to families’ needs and then supporting them step-by-step to manage their lives on their own is a powerful model.

Family Intervention Specialist

Position Goal:  Provide individual and/or group assessment, career/life planning, self-sufficiency planning, barrier removal, and intervention services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Meet with participants individually and/or in groups to identify barriers, including issues related to housing, transportation, substance abuse, domestic violence, addictions, mental health issues, employment, and self-sufficiency and/or skill/knowledge development related to healthy families and child development.
2. Refer and assist participants in obtaining additional community resources to address identified barriers.
3. Assist participants in developing functional life skills to better manage aspects of their lives, including health, addictions, childcare, financial, and relationship challenges.  Provide appropriate ongoing and follow-up support and assistance to participants.
4. Provide communication skills training to participants to assist them in building better relationships with significant people in their lives, including family, friends, co-workers, and employers.
5. Provide one-on-one training and facilitate group classes to educate on child development, stress management, self-regulation, communication skills, and/or other social skills.
6. Facilitate groups to offer support, validation, and encouragement to assist individuals in building their own support network.
7. Deliver services to participants in a variety of locations, including school settings, DHS offices, community organization facilities, and program offices.
8. Transport participants to appointments and attend appointments with clients and/or coordinate appointments to offer support and guidance, if needed.
9. Assess participant service needs through individual and/or group interviews, testing, and observation, and create a plan and/or recommended plan to overcome assessed needs.
10. Complete written individual plans that reflect participant goals to reach self-sufficiency.  Coordinate service strategies with other community service providers as needed.  Input and retrieve data in the TRACS and other relevant data systems.
11. Manage individual caseload and/or assigned tasks within program/project parameters such as budget, service plan, performance plan, regulations, policies, and recordkeeping requirements.
12. Attend ongoing meetings with SOESD and community partners to provide the best plans and services for participants.
13. Communicate clearly and appropriately.
14. Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with SOESD employees, local education agency representatives, and others contacted during the course of the workday.
15. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.
16. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse).
17. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Prerequisites:
1. Valid Oregon Driver's License.
2. English proficiency.
3. Knowledge of interpersonal counseling, coaching practices and principles, employment and training programs, and related community resources.
4. Knowledge of healthy parenting practices and child development.
5. Excellent self-management skills and the ability to take initiative, work independently within established guidelines, and with a diverse group of participants and partners.
6. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer programs and the internet.
7. Positive, flexible attitude. 
8. Demonstrated effective communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Degree in early childhood education, social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
2. Early Childhood or K-12 Education experience preferred.
3. Mentoring and coaching experience preferred. 
4. Bilingual preferred.

The equivalent combination of experience, training, certification, education, or degree that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be used as an alternative to prerequisites.

Speech & Language Pathologist (Birth - Age 5)

Position Goal:   To help students communicate appropriately through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized education programs.

Essential Functions:
1. Assessing individual educational speech-language needs of students and making recommendations
2. Preparing individual educational programs and materials. 
3. Delivering effective speech-language therapy to identified students.
4. Consulting with parents to integrate home and school goals.
5. Assisting schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
6. Providing consultations to teachers regarding speech-language interventions.
7. Establishing and maintaining positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with ESD and local district staff.
8. Making independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
9. Preparing accountability records regarding services provided.
10. Communicating clearly and appropriately.
11. Participating in professional growth activities.

Speech & Language Pathologist (Birth - Age 5)

Position Goal:   To help students communicate appropriately through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized education programs.

Essential Functions:
1. Assessing individual educational speech-language needs of students and making recommendations
2. Preparing individual educational programs and materials. 
3. Delivering effective speech-language therapy to identified students.
4. Consulting with parents to integrate home and school goals.
5. Assisting schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
6. Providing consultations to teachers regarding speech-language interventions.
7. Establishing and maintaining positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with ESD and local district staff.
8. Making independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
9. Preparing accountability records regarding services provided.
10. Communicating clearly and appropriately.
11. Participating in professional growth activities.
12. Complying with local district and ESD rules and policies.
13. Performing physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Pre-Requisites:
1. Successful completion of an approved speech pathology program.
2. Oregon teachers' license with speech impaired endorsement and acquire Oregon Health Board of Examiners' speech pathology license, or

Salary:  Per licensed collective bargaining agreement for 2024-2025 school year: $56,964 to $98,865 annually.

The Southern Oregon ESD Focal Student Groups Department seeks a Migrant Education Identification and Recruitment Specialist with a diverse set of skills and a desire to support finding and identifying Migrant families in order to offer services that lead to high student achievement. This person will work from the SOESD office in Medford during regular work hours. The office is scheduled to be relocated to Phoenix mid-way through the 2025-2026 school year once the new building is completed.
 
The Migrant Education Identification and Recruitment Specialist assists with the compliance of Migrant state and federal identification requirements, performing a variety of clerical roles, including the completion of technical legal documents such as the Certificate of Eligibility, maintaining files and spreadsheets, sharing data with partner school districts in Jackson and Josephine Counties, accurate and timely data entry regarding services provided to students and families, and building relationships with local agricultural employers to assist in identifying families who may qualify for the program. They will also work directly with other department staff on a daily basis to support timely communication within the department and with partner systems such as school districts and the Oregon Migrant Education Service Center (OMESC). They attend virtual monthly data specialist meetings led by OMESC. The Migrant Education Identification and Recruitment Specialist must be organized, self-motivated, and able to consistently keep detailed records and submit regular reports.

Migrant Education Identification and Recruiting
 
POSITION GOAL: Provide regional quality control and oversight of the Migrant Education identification and recruitment (ID&R) process; provide technical assistance to regional ID&R staff; coordinate regional Migrant Education data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
1. Establish and maintain a Quality Control System for migrant student eligibility.
2. Provide oversight for all ID&R legal documentation (Certificates of Eligibility or COE’s) generated by regional ID&R staff (Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath County Migrant Recruiters and Home School Consultants).
3. Provide training and updates related to the Federal Title 1C Non-Regulatory Guidance as it relates to identification and recruitment, records transfer, and all Title 1C eligibility definitions to regional ID&R staff.         
4. Maintain and update documentation to support the implementation of a local quality control system.
5. Maintain COE documentation files.
6. Act as liaison for migrant student information data exchange with regional districts.
7. Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with SOESD and regional district staff.
8. Act as regional Oregon Migrant Student Information System (OMSIS) Specialist.
9. Create and implement the local ID&R Action Plan, which is included in the Title 1C grant application, and participate in annual evaluation and revision of ID&R Action Plan.
10. Survey local agricultural employers on migrant activities, crops, and seasons as well as develop and maintain communication with employers.
11. Filter district data to provide eligibility leads to ID&R staff.
12. Provide oversight for other federal program data coordination.

MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1. High school diploma and any combination of education and experience that would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.

4. Strong communication skills.
5. Familiarity with Hispanic culture and community.

Southern Oregon ESD is seeking a Field Service Technician with a limited energy license who is able to perform skilled electrical work in installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, as well as related duties. Duties include installation, repair, and maintenance of extended branch circuits, audio visual equipment, intercom systems, network cabling, security cameras, access control equipment, and other electrical and limited energy systems and equipment. The successful candidate would also ensure that electrical work performed at SOESD is in accordance with standard practices of the trade and in compliance with state and local regulations. A variety of shifts are available, and the position can be based out of either Jackson or Klamath County.

Field Service Technician III
POSITION GOAL: Perform skilled duties in the design, maintenance, repair and installation of various school building low voltage systems. Assist with in-shop repairs of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.

Essential Duties:
1. Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair low-voltage systems (i.e LAN; PA, CCTV, CCATV, Intercom). 
2. Skilled repair of low-voltage systems and equipment.
3. Consult with school district personnel regarding various low-voltage and media equipment needs during remodel and new construction.
4. Work cooperatively with other trades during remodel and construction.
5. Assist with the design, specification, and estimation of various types of low-voltage systems.
6. Assist with in-shop repairs of electronic equipment.
7. Assist with evaluating various new products and tools as they relate to the job.
8. Receive and complete work orders, including pricing, billing, and documentation information, as assigned by supervisor. 
9. Attend training, workshops, in-services, and continuing education as requested by the department supervisor. 
10. Be aware of the activities and responsibilities of other departments within the CET.
11. Ensure guidelines are followed for accountability of service, maintenance, and inventory for vehicles assigned to the department.
12. Assist in the training of other personnel in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Sign Language Interpreter

Position Goal: To provide access to education for students who are deaf and hard of hearing by facilitating communication. 

Essential Functions:
 
1. Interpret/transliterate information accurately, conveying the thought, intent, and spirit of the sender in a manner appropriate to the student's communication level.
2. Instruct students in the correct use of an interpreter.
3. Orient regular classroom teachers about the role of interpreters and suggest classroom adaptations.
4. Adhere to all rules and protocols governing the confidential rights of all students.
5. Develop and implement an individual ongoing program in professional growth to include fluency, vocabulary building (technical/general signs), and language skills, and participate in a skill development mentoring program
6. Participate, upon request, in parent conferences and IEP meetings.
7. Demonstrate active participation in staff meetings and in-services.
8. Attend conferences, workshops, and job-related training programs as requested.
9. Interpret for students, parents, and/or professionals in conferences or other school-sponsored activities when sanctioned by the supervisor.
10. Maintain an interpreter log, when assigned, to be available to the PDHH teacher.
11. Demonstrate both written and oral command of the English language, including correct use of syntax and grammar.
12. Demonstrate a functional comprehension of all subject matter.
13. Provide tutorial support to deaf and hard-of-hearing students as assigned.      
14. Act as a liaison between PDHH and mainstream staff, providing relevant feedback on student progress.
15. Assist in the professional development of other interpreters within the program through assigned mentorship duties.
16. Participate in a daily preventative physical warm-up.
17. Perform other duties appropriate to the assignment under the direction of the PDHH teacher.
18. Develop increasing proficiency in all essential functions for Interpreter III prior to advancement to that level.
19. Comply with local district and ESD rules and policies.
20. Complete and document 12 hours of continuing professional development related to sign language interpretation each school year.
21. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Prerequisites
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Score 3.5 or above on the EIPA Performance Assessment or hold RID NIC, CI, or CT Certification and meet one of the following criteria:
           a.   Hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree from an Interpreter Education Program or related field
           b.   Achieve a passing score on the EIPA Written test
3. Certificate of Completion from an Interpreter Training Program or extensive background and experience with sign language, including regular contact with deaf children or adults.
 
 
Location:  In person
Length of Position: 190 days (academic year) calendar
Pay: Per Classified Hourly Compensation Schedule.  $21.20/hour to $29.07/hour for 2024-2025 school year.  
Immediate Supervisor:  Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and PDHH Administrator

Sign Language Interpreter

Position Goal: To provide access to education for students who are deaf and hard of hearing by facilitating communication. 

Essential Functions:
 
1. Interpret/transliterate information accurately, conveying the thought, intent, and spirit of the sender in a manner appropriate to the student's communication level.
2. Instruct students in the correct use of an interpreter.
3. Orient regular classroom teachers about the role of interpreters and suggest classroom adaptations.
4. Adhere to all rules and protocols governing the confidential rights of all students.
5. Develop and implement an individual ongoing program in professional growth to include fluency, vocabulary building (technical/general signs), and language skills, and participate in a skill development mentoring program
6. Participate, upon request, in parent conferences and IEP meetings.
7. Demonstrate active participation in staff meetings and in-services.
8. Attend conferences, workshops, and job-related training programs as requested.
9. Interpret for students, parents, and/or professionals in conferences or other school-sponsored activities when sanctioned by the supervisor.
10. Maintain an interpreter log, when assigned, to be available to the PDHH teacher.
11. Demonstrate both written and oral command of the English language, including correct use of syntax and grammar.
12. Demonstrate a functional comprehension of all subject matter.
13. Provide tutorial support to deaf and hard-of-hearing students as assigned.      
14. Act as a liaison between PDHH and mainstream staff, providing relevant feedback on student progress.
15. Assist in the professional development of other interpreters within the program through assigned mentorship duties.
16. Participate in a daily preventative physical warm-up.
17. Perform other duties appropriate to the assignment under the direction of the PDHH teacher.
18. Develop increasing proficiency in all essential functions for Interpreter III prior to advancement to that level.
19. Comply with local district and ESD rules and policies.
20. Complete and document 12 hours of continuing professional development related to sign language interpretation each school year.
21. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Prerequisites
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Score 3.5 or above on the EIPA Performance Assessment or hold RID NIC, CI, or CT Certification and meet one of the following criteria:
           a.   Hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree from an Interpreter Education Program or related field
           b.   Achieve a passing score on the EIPA Written test
3. Certificate of Completion from an Interpreter Training Program or extensive background and experience with sign language, including regular contact with deaf children or adults.
 
 
Location:  In person
Length of Position: 190 days (academic year) calendar
Pay: Per Classified Hourly Compensation Schedule.  $21.20/hour to $29.07/hour for 2024-2025 school year.  
Immediate Supervisor:  Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and PDHH Administrator

The Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) Audiology Program is hiring an Educational Audiologist who will be a vital member of the educational team and is uniquely qualified to ensure auditory access to the learning environment for children and students ages birth to 21.  The SOESD Educational Audiologist offers testing and recommendations where there is a suspected hearing loss for young children and students in the nine component school districts in Jackson County, in beautiful Southern Oregon. In the five-county area, the Educational Audiologist works collaboratively with IFSP/IEP teams to determine what audiological equipment, amplification devices, and assistive technology best support each child's specific learning environment. The Educational Audiologist supports the educational team in the installation and adjustment of equipment as needed to support students' accessibility. An Educational Audiologist who can demonstrate communicative competence in sign language is preferred.

Educational Audiologist

POSITION GOAL: Provide audiological services to all children with a possible hearing loss.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conduct audiological evaluations for children ages birth – 21 referred for suspected hearing loss.
2. Present test results and information to parents and/or child tested, teachers, and other professionals, including at IFSP/IEP meetings.
3. Prepare a written report directed to the referral source and others outlining the type and degree of hearing loss.
4. Assist with the selection and fitting of amplification devices and other assistive technology to provide access in the educational setting.
5. Supervise hearing screenings contracted to local districts.
6. Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain audiological equipment, amplification devices, and assistive devices to comply with standards.
7. Offer professional development to staff.
8. Make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
9. Prepare accountability records regarding services provided.
10. Communicate clearly and appropriately.
11. Participate in professional growth activities.
12. Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with SOESD employees, local education agency representatives, and others contacted during the course of the workday.
13. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.
14. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodations (see below).

MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1. Master’s degree in Audiology.

The Klamath Falls office of the Southern Oregon ESD Focal Student Groups Department seeks a Bilingual/Biliterate Administrative Assistant III with a diverse set of skills and a desire to support the operations of the programs, focusing on Migrant Education. This person will work from the SOESD office in Klamath Falls during regular work hours.
 
The Administrative Assistant III performs a variety of clerical roles, such as ordering supplies, reconciling accounts, working with spreadsheets, arranging travel, and processing reimbursements. They will also work directly with department staff on a daily basis to support timely communication within the department and with partner systems such as school districts. They must be organized, self-motivated, and able to consistently keep detailed records and submit regular reports.
 
Furthermore, they will collaborate with Migrant Education recruiters and accurately enter data into the state database in a timely manner. They will provide student eligibility lists to specialists and school districts. They will attend monthly SOESD meetings as well as virtual OMESC data meetings and trainings.

Position Goal: To assist the program administrator in English and Spanish in performing a full range of secretarial and specialized staff duties to support program and other operations requiring specific knowledge of agency programs, functions, policies, and procedures, and may exercise technical and functional direction and guidance over clerical staff.  Typical duties depend on the specific assignments and may include: assisting in budget preparation and monitoring, providing staff support to directors, coordinators, supervisors, and outside agencies; serving as a representative for the program as directed by the administrator.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks in Spanish and English. Other duties may be assigned. Essential duties of this position include:
1. Prepares a wide range of documents (e.g., letters, reports, memos, forms) from draft or general instructions or verbally responds to inquiries, requiring general knowledge of agency operations.
2. Compiles, organizes, and maintains program statistical data in a usable form for completing various reports pertaining to federal, state, and county information requirements.
3. Processes purchase orders, expense reimbursement statements, travel requests, and other related requisitions, assuring proper approvals, coding, and records; purchases office supplies and equipment for the unit, and maintains inventory of supplies and related materials.
4. Performs receptionist functions such as screening incoming calls, taking messages, and/or routing calls; responds to routine questions about programs or services; greets visitors and directs to appropriate location and/or staff person.
5. Sorts, screens, distributes, and responds to correspondence within program/department in a variety of formats (US Mail, courier mail, and e-mail).
6. Prepares and organizes materials for meetings, arranges for food services, prepares agenda, secures meeting location, composes minutes, prepares correspondence and meeting reminders, transcribes and processes dictation (determining layout and format), and performs follow-up assignments.
7. Coordinates workshop locations, designs brochures, registers participants, and assists presenters in the preparation of material. Ensures Spanish workshop materials are accurate.
8. Establishes, maintains, and updates files, lists, records, and logs on computerized and manual record-keeping systems; accesses, retrieves, verifies, and inputs data pertinent to the program needs.
9. Coordinates staff travel needs, including conference registration, hotel accommodations, and transportation requirements.
10. Maintains attendance and other employee records for the related program/department.
11. Maintains an appointment calendar for supervisor and staff, schedules appointments and meetings, and assists in day-to-day planning.
12. Oversees inventory of office supplies and ensures maintenance of office equipment.
13. Supports staff in building systems operations, such as the use of computers, fax machines, photocopiers, telephone systems, voice mail, and printers.
14. Works as a team member through effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff and community.
15. Establishes and maintains a high level of confidentiality with personnel, students, and program/agency information.
16. Make decisions independently according to established policies
17. Serve as the key contact person for a program, school, or other functions, which may include responsibilities for parent, student, or other customer communications, and/or liaison with other agency departments, school districts, or agencies. 
18. Compiles data from varied sources and makes summary reports.  May involve statistical calculations and tabulations in accordance with established formulas and equations.  May involve obtaining quotes from vendors as directed and providing printing estimates to customers.
19. Research files and records for information as directed or based on department policies or legal requirements. 
20. Contributes to the economic efficiency of the program by monitoring expenditures and billing systems, tracking and reconciling grants, funding, and revenue, and performing budgeting and bookkeeping functions.
21. Initiates regularly recurring reports and standard form letters.  Maintains program records, making periodical audits as necessary, and prepares follow-up reports requiring action on a periodic basis.
22. Interprets conversations as needed by SOESD administrators.
23. Able to read, prepare, and interpret documents in English and Spanish.
24. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent and four years progressively responsible secretarial experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
2. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish/English as evidenced by a score of a minimum of “advanced low” on the OPIc.
3. Completion of SOESD’s Introduction to Interpretation Workshop with a passing final exam score within year one of employment). 
4. Experience working with the Latino community.
5. Draft and prepare reports, correspondence, and records, using accurate business English and Spanish, composition, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
6. Demonstrate a high skill level in using current office technology, including keyboard skills, transcription, and elementary accounting.
7. Working knowledge of budgeting and bookkeeping practices and procedures.
8. Excellent communication skills to effectively represent policies and procedures to parents, students, other employees, agencies, and the general public.
9. Work independently and organize work with minimum supervision.
10. Work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines.
11. Demonstrate keyboarding skills of 60 WPM or as specified for the position.
12. Thorough knowledge of applicable computer software and demonstrated skill with regard to the application
13. Experience working with diverse populations, including culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse populations.
14. Physically perform assigned duties.

Southern Oregon ESD seeks an Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant to join our highly qualified team and provide technical assistance in autism spectrum disorders to local school districts, Early Intervention providers, and other related agencies. The Autism Program at Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) brings consultation, coaching, ASD assessments, and technical assistance to educators, professionals, and families who support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from birth to 21. We partner with school districts, early intervention/early childhood special education agencies, local health care, and community agencies. Our team of 1 licensed ASD Specialist, 2 BCBAs, 6 ASD Consultants, and 1 ASD Assistant trains, coaches, and supports educational staff in districts, parents, and childcare providers, emphasizing building capacity. The services we provide include:
 
• Offer technical assistance and a broad array of professional development opportunities to school districts, early intervention providers, parents, community, and other parent partner organizations
• Provide training and coaching to paraeducators, teachers, specialists, parents, and other educational staff at the request of school districts 
• Select and implement Evidence-Based Practices based on individualized student assessments
• Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans 
• Teach the expanded core curriculum (ECC), which includes social skills, functional communication, organization, self-advocacy, adaptive/life skills, etc. 
• Assist in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), including goal planning, accommodations, and modifications to ensure access to instruction

Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant

POSITION GOAL:  Provide technical assistance in the area of autism spectrum disorders to local districts, Early Intervention providers, and other related agencies.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                      
1.         Act as regional autism services referral point for assigned geographical area.
2.         Participate in multidisciplinary team assessment.
            A.        Conduct parent interview and student observations, screening, and assessment as appropriate.
            B.        Assist in location and use of appropriate assessment instruments.
            C.        Assist district with sharing of assessment results with parents.
            D.        Pursue other assessments at request of districts.
3.         Participate in IFSP/ IEP implementation:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst
POSITION GOAL
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will work with school teams to teach and implement research/evidence-based behavioral interventions to produce a positive behavioral change in students. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned. Essential duties of this position include:
1. Lead, coach, and collaborate with teams in developing interventions, functional behavior assessments, and behavior support plans to provide a safe and effective educational environment for students.
2. Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provide behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Assist in the location and use of appropriate assessment instruments. Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments.
3. Design and clinically supervise behavior analytic interventions, including progress monitoring, data analysis, and monitoring implementation fidelity, with various school teams. Clinically supervise the work of staff members who implement behavior analytic interventions.
4. Provide clinical supervision of Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)/Registered Behavior Analysis Interventionist (RBAI) and BCBA candidates.
5. Teach others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and deliver instruction in behavior analysis.
6. Develop procedures and training materials for students with challenging behaviors to enhance programs and ensure that program operations comply with established guidelines.
7. Conduct workshops, training, in-service presentations, etc. in positive behavioral supports, collaborative problem solving, behavioral data collection, analysis, and support planning to develop skills and establish effective interventions for students.
8. Work effectively and cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community members.
9. Understand and use evidence-based practices for students with disabilities (e.g. PECS, assistive technology, visual supports, video modeling, social skills, collaborative problem solving, etc.)
10. Contribute to the development of IEP goals, objectives and individual programs and support staff in their implementation.
11. Effectively use data tracking systems and IEP computer supports.
12. Meet district, state, and federal timelines and legal requirements. Maintain student records and confidentiality.
13. Participate in personal ongoing professional development and maintain certification.
14. Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
15. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.
16. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodations (see below).

The Southern Oregon Education Service District is seeking a highly professional and experienced occupational therapist to deliver school-based services to students in districts in the Southern Oregon region.  The therapist will provide consultation and training to school staff, evaluation of student eligibility, progress and needs, recommendation and adjustment of equipment, input toward IEP development, and occupational therapy treatments typically provided to students with motor impairments.

Position:   Occupational Therapist
 
POSITION GOAL:  Plan, implement and monitor therapy services for appropriately identified students.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:          
1.          Assess and diagnose student's educationally related therapy needs.

The STEPS Plus program offered by SOESD is an exceptional, specialized educational program serving students from ages 5 – 21 who experience multiple, significant disabilities along with cognitive deficits. Highly regarded throughout the region for its successful delivery of instruction and support for students who present the most difficult and challenging behaviors, the program enrolls students from districts throughout Southern Oregon. The well-equipped site includes multiple learning spaces that allow students and 1:1 staff to carry out appropriate learning activities in a safe and structured environment. The program is staffed with dynamic and knowledgeable licensed teachers as well as trained educational assistants who provide individualized instruction and support for each student based on their IEP goals and behavior needs. In addition, a team of expert specialists, including a school psychologist, ASD specialist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist and school nurse, deliver direct services to students and consultative services to staff and parents.

Cooperation and collaboration among staff are paramount to the team approach in the classroom, which is built on fidelity to safe and consistent systems and routines, as well as trust and respectful communication between all members of the STEPS Plus team. POSITION GOAL: To provide individualized instruction to increase students' performance of adaptive self-help, communication, social, behavioral, academic, vocational, and independent living skills.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
1. Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to establish a shared plan of action and coordinate instructional and intervention activities.
2. Evaluate performance of self-help, communication, social, behavioral, academic, vocational, and independent living skills.
3. Participate on IEP teams to implement all required special education procedures including parent rights, eligibility, IEP, placement, behavior, restraint and seclusion, and other student records according to stated timelines.
4. Provide individual and small group instruction related to IEP goals.
5. Develop and implement positive classroom rules and individual and group management programs, including participation in functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and development and implementation of behavior support plans (BSPs) and crisis intervention plans (CIPs).
6. Implement training methods, record data, assess student progress, and adjust training strategies as necessary.
7. Develop and maintain an instruction, related service provider, and mainstreaming schedule.
8. Consult with regular teachers, related service providers, and involved social service agencies to meet student needs.

Position Goal:
The goal of this position is to support students with disabilities and significant behavioral challenges by developing and implementing unique behavior management techniques, communication strategies, and specialized learning techniques, so these students can develop increased behavior self-regulation and return to a less restrictive setting.

Essential Duties:
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Others duties may be assigned. Essential duties of this position include:

1.   Assist in caring for student’s needs, including toileting, feeding, and physically supporting children as needed.
2.   Participate as an effective team member across all settings in a manner that promotes collaboration for student success by carrying out team decisions, contributing relevant information, and planning, problem-solving, and decision making on a daily basis.
3.   Assist in educating students in accordance with students’ IEP goals by using a variety of learning techniques, communication strategies, and behavior intervention techniques.
4.   Be familiar with and follow guidelines of students’ Behavior Support plan and Crisis Intervention Plan; provide input to students’ Functional Behavioral Assessment.
5.   Provide immediate physical support in helping to transport or restrain students for as long as needed to ensure safety in a crisis situation, in accordance to approved SOESD-training.
6.   During a crisis or physical acting-out incident, assistants not handling the behavior should be able to quickly adapt to provide necessary support to other students and secure the classroom.
7.   Supervising and applying behavior intervention with students and diligently tracking all behaviors in a manner requested by the teachers and specialists as per approved agency policies and classroom procedures.
8.   Comply with ESD rules and policies.
9.   Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation (see reverse).
10. Perform job-related tasks as designated by supervisor.
11. Participate in team meetings and other committee meetings.
12. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures. Comply with district and ESD rules.

Behavior Support Specialist

Position Goal:  Provide consultation, training, and interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and social disorders and to increase students' success in educational environments.

Essential Functions:
1. Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to establish a shared plan of action and coordinate instructional and intervention activities.
2. Evaluate performance of communication, social, behavioral, academic, vocational, and independent living skills.
3. Collaboratively develop IEPs to address emotional, social, and behavioral needs with parents and school personnel.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
5. Provide individual and small group instruction related to IEP goals.
6. Develop and implement positive behavioral intervention strategies, classroom rules, and individual and group management programs.
7. Plan and direct systematic observation and recording procedures related to emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
8. Organize, analyze, and interpret data in relation to current student performance, behavior targets, progress toward emotional, behavioral, and social goals, and instructional/curriculum strategies.
9. Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop and participate in the implementation of behavior support plans (BSPs) and crisis intervention plans (CIPs).
10. Complete all required paperwork regarding use of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and restraint/seclusions procedures.
11. Provide behavioral consultation to classroom staff and recommend, design, and implement alternative interventions.
12. Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
13. Train classroom staff in targeted intervention strategies and data collection procedures.
14. Train, coordinate, provide modeling, coaching, observation and feedback, and gather data regarding the job performance of Educational Assistant(s).
15. Establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with ESD, local district, and community agency staff.
16. Participate in professional growth activities.

5. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst
POSITION GOAL
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will work with school teams to teach and implement research/evidence-based behavioral interventions to produce a positive behavioral change in students. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned. Essential duties of this position include:
1. Lead, coach, and collaborate with teams in developing interventions, functional behavior assessments, and behavior support plans to provide a safe and effective educational environment for students.
2. Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provide behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Assist in the location and use of appropriate assessment instruments. Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments.
3. Design and clinically supervise behavior analytic interventions, including progress monitoring, data analysis, and monitoring implementation fidelity, with various school teams. Clinically supervise the work of staff members who implement behavior analytic interventions.
4. Provide clinical supervision of Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)/Registered Behavior Analysis Interventionist (RBAI) and BCBA candidates.
5. Teach others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and deliver instruction in behavior analysis.
6. Develop procedures and training materials for students with challenging behaviors to enhance programs and ensure that program operations comply with established guidelines.
7. Conduct workshops, training, in-service presentations, etc. in positive behavioral supports, collaborative problem solving, behavioral data collection, analysis, and support planning to develop skills and establish effective interventions for students.
8. Work effectively and cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community members.
9. Understand and use evidence-based practices for students with disabilities (e.g. PECS, assistive technology, visual supports, video modeling, social skills, collaborative problem solving, etc.)
10. Contribute to the development of IEP goals, objectives and individual programs and support staff in their implementation.
11. Effectively use data tracking systems and IEP computer supports.
12. Meet district, state, and federal timelines and legal requirements. Maintain student records and confidentiality.
13. Participate in personal ongoing professional development and maintain certification.
14. Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
15. Follow established SOESD policies and procedures.
16. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodations (see below).
17. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

14. The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District.

Systems Analyst III

Position Goal: Provide support for servers, storage, data centers, cloud services, directory services, networks, other technology, and associated information services, to support teaching and learning.. The emphasis of this position is systems management, although duties may include network support, programming and database management. 

Responsibility: Performs duties with minimal supervision. Work involves evaluation and creation of technical systems, synthesis of processes, and analysis of agency policies, procedures, and mission. Work is characterized by ability to make independent decisions within established guidelines that align project objectives with department and agency goals.

Essential Functions: 
1.    Perform all functions of System Analyst II.
2.    Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement servers, networks, collaboration systems, network management and information services including: virtual infrastructure and storage systems; directory, mail, file, and web servers; VoIP; cloud services such as LMS and VLE; and student information systems.
3.    Evaluate, recommend, design and implement computer imaging, software deployment, mobile device and other management solutions.
4.    Evaluate, recommend, design and implement backup systems, data center redundancy, and disaster recovery systems.
5.    Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement directory service solutions including single sign on.
6.    While working collaboratively with others, be capable of working independently for extended periods of time without direct supervision to research, plan, create and implement solutions that align with the vision of the department and agency.
7.    Effectively manage complex projects by determining project prerequisites, establishing security specifications, setting milestones, managing time lines, and identifying required human and technical resources.
8.    Provide support for Systems Analyst II.
9.    Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Prerequisites:
1.    All requirements of System Analyst II.
2.    Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or applicable field.
3.    Performance at level of System Analyst II for at least one year.
4.    Demonstrated capabilities of System Analyst III.

• Serve as a liaison between families and the Autism ID team by Assisting families as they go through the evaluation Process: make pre-appointment phone calls, meet and greet as the intake meeting and be present with families during the time a diagnosis is given at ID meeting.
• Participate in scheduled meetings, workshops, community teams, etc. for the purpose of receiving and/or presenting information to families and/or the Autism team.
• Provide culturally-appropriate support for families, assist in identifying and providing community resources, and offer short-term follow up with families at their request.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about participants, families and staff and comply with SOESD rules/policies
